Looks absolutely fantastic, its a real shame the pictures here on PH absolutely suck, I did managed to find some decent hi-res ones via Google though smile

I haven't been a fan of anything from Peugeot for a long time although I did have a 405 Mi16x4 back in the mid 90's which was a superb car to drive.

That's the name of the colour Hi Vis Jacket Yellow - with 400PS they won't be hanging on too long.
Big assumption the electrics will last long enough to utilise the 400bhp

Bit moody - what are those little wings hanging off the rear doors?

"Did you even read the article?"

Oh, right - quarter panel winglets ..

Exactly as described. Hope they're glued on tight!

I never quite understand the bad will towards Peugeot. I think it's a combination of the Jeremy Clarkson effect and a lack of awareness that despite a poor reputation in recent years Peugeot consistently betters the premium brands in reliability surveys.

Their current crop of cars are really good. The SUV s are much more interesting than most, the 508 looks great, and the GTis are probably the most fun hot hatches available.

The i-cockpit takes a bit of getting used to which is why it doesn't get good press. But after a few hundred miles you've got used to it and it works well for most.

I hope they put this into production

It took 8 years for my 106's rear wiper to go on strike, then work went it wanted to - that passes for reliable electrics on a Peugeot.

As long as the driving position is better than the 106 I'll be happy.

at risk of generalizing, inevitable if there a queue of traffic for no apparent reason or some one performing a 'curious' bit of driving. its usually a Peugeot of some sort. or a vauxhall.

vehicles typically purchased as a functional tool for those with 0 interest in driving, rather than a functional tool that may also provide a bit of pleasure occasionally.

the big SUV thing, is a mess. the 508 looks good though

Quite like the looks even if it's a mashup of VW Passat, Skoda Octavia and Kia Stinger design elements. Generic sporty saloon for the noughties.

looks way better than all 3 of them. Passat looks boring, Octavia ok in boxy way, stinger ok from a couple of angles, but a dogs breakfast from the back and most angles.

Looks superb inside and out. Aggressive outside and innvative inside.
As long as they use quality materials and stay with the bold looks, all good.

Agreed - I do think a Sportline Superb looks good and as does the Arteon, but the Peugeot is the most most interesting looking of this size of saloon/hatch.

I actually quite like the look of this. It's at least distinctive, at a time when most normal cars are a bit of a beige muchness. Are PSA in danger of actually starting to make machines people want once more?
Divide the grille into kidneys and it could be a BMW but far better looking.

Wow, the "If it isn't German its crap" brigade are out in force today

At least its a little more interesting than a lot of derivative and not as reliable or well made as you'd expect German cars
But the facts seem to suggest French cars are still pretty troublesome....Peugeot, Citroen and Renault are all there.

As is always the case, the exact opposite could be argued from this:

https://www.reliabilityindex.com/manufacturer

I'm not a particular Peugeot fan or critic of German cars but in the real world I doubt that a typical Peugeot will be any less reliable than anything with a German badge on it

The funniest thing about VAG owners laughing at french electrics is that the vast majority of Pug's for many decades have had Bosch electrics....

Looks like Peugeot took design elements from every current VAG product and put them in a blender.

+1 The outside looks genuinely attractive but Peugeot please, that interior looks terrible and for many people it just doesn’t work.

I spent 2 days in a rental 308 (decent enough car) but however you move the steering wheel, it just doesn’t really work.

They’ve found a (bad) solution to a problem that didn’t exist.
This is not a 308, its a 508 and does not have an issue with the position of the steering wheel, if you don't believe me, go test drive one, set the wheel up properly and you will see the dash with no intrusion.
