I know silver can photograph awfully but that looks like each panel was sprayed in a different shade on a different car.

I couldn't live with the asymmetry on something for 1% of the value.

On a similar vein, I watched this last night on Sky Arts, good program (more music than cars, but i like both) and they took the GTO out driving

Ref Mason & Johnson

Was a really good episode that one, might have to rewatch it again. The one with Sting was pretty good too.

Oh yes, that’d be a lovely bus to smoke around in for a while. The E34 is very much still peak 5-series for me, especially when one comes with 5 doors

The E34 is lovely, but I can't see it fetching £7k, when E39 540iT with similar provenance are 1/2 the money. Or maybe my "value meter" is massively off the scales...

Admittedly a few more miles and with a couple less cylinders at £4K: https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1007049

Interesting, especially that 964 3.3 Turbo at £87k. Looks like prices are at about the same level as a couple of years ago if that’s anything to go by

As an aside, the ‘88 205 CTi is mentioned as being a 1.9, but I thought they were only 1.6 until very late on in the model’s lifespan?

1991 yes

eta

Interesting MoT history as it goes from 63,366kms to 38,872miles from 2015 to 2017.

I am not sure, in fact I am maybe talking out of me bottom, but it looks weak to me... BMW ///M cars and Porsche Turbos with stupidly low estimates the only examples that sold well... But I guess that was due to the low estimates, which looks like window dressing... And no, I am not biased - in the next 3 to 4 months I am planning to sell some classic cars...

What's the gold one? Front end looks like 3.0 RSR but the rear wings/arches don't look right.
I'd have one, though.

It is punchy but you'll struggle to find an E39 540iT now for anything like 3500. If you do let me know.

I have one and if someone was to give me £3.5k I would snap their hand off... always thought the only value left in the car is the engine - 1998 this pre TU gubbins and cable throttle operated...
