The 90's were wonderful.
There is a great short film by Davide Cironi on YouTube with these very cars driven on track in relative anger. Always loved them and the fact that one M Schumacher bought one and kept it for 10yrs is a testament to actually how good the cars were.

I've always loved them, tough call between a SS and GT spec though. Third world problems and all that.

Glorious looking thing, though 190 bhp seems a tad lacking.

Yeh it is odd, a Mexico (that the engine is from) was high 200's

This one is probably 230ish at the engine as opposed to the 190 at the wheels at a guess

Ive just had 2 tickets from my recent trip to France - one for 117km/h and one for 114(!!)km/h in a 110km/h limit. €45 fine in each case.

I just paid it to avoid any potential hassle next time i visit.
I've had one come through this week from a trip in June - A7 just south of Lyon, 92km/h in a 90km/h zone rolleyes

It’s nonsense eh. No way my 2001 TVR speedo is accurate to within 4(or 2!) kph.

I did read that a huge number of speed cameras in France have been sabotaged by the yellowvests in protest to new 80kph limits being enforced, with that the office bods who deal with tickets have a lot more free time - to go after British (and other foreign) drivers.

Years previously I’ve set off cameras and had nothing so something appears to have changed.

There's an automatic allowance made on French speeding levels - the ticket will show the speed with this included... so you were more than 2kph over the limit!

I think I triggered one at least c.30kph over.

Your speedo will over read, not under, so your indicated speed was more than you were pinged for.......

I assume to challenge the ticket would require a trip to France to contest it in a French Court, in French. Good luck with that.

I had a couple while in France...the amount they state on the ticket is AFTER the 5% allowance they give for the speedo............both times I was 1 km/h over...................

only website over there that actually worked was the one that you pay the fine to.............

Had a hateful Clio hire car a couple of years ago that bonged when you went 5kph over the speed limit. When I got a ticket for 6 or 7kph over I understood why.

The accuracy of your speedo is your problem, not the law’s. Speedos aren’t even a mandatory requirement, the Renault sport spyder for example doesn’t have one.

I got flashed somewhere in Reims 3 weeks ago, I was a bit above 60 in a 60 zone. Heading back home today, will see if I get that €45 ticket. Anyway their speeding fines are cheap so it’s hardly going to make any difference.
