SL55 & SLK55 both appeal but for different reasons yes

SL55 - big wafty grunty GT with a great soundtrack

SLK55 - small pointy grunty with a great soundtrack. Kinda useable (albeit auto) TVR esque

French are pretty notorious for their speed policing now, a run to Le Mans used to be peppered with the occasional high speed run on the generally empty, straight and well laid peage. But now, the amount of times I spotted Le plod laying on the grassy mounds on the sides of the roads in guillie suits and the line of cars at the following peage stopped became to numerous to risk it.

Just split the drive up between backroads of interest and some motorways to make progress. Also, I think about 4 years ago, speeding fines in France started to be passed on to be chased back in the U.K. instead of just existing in France.

It’s just a shame their roads are generally so nice.

Yes to all the Italian lovelyness on the prior pages, Daytona is always a favourite at the classic meets.

Speedos aren’t even a mandatory requirement, the Renault sport spyder for example doesn’t have one.
Really? (x2)

Sport Spider has a digital speedo; with limited exceptions you need one under Construction and Use regs, but it isn’t part of the MoT test.

A manual one of these would have fit the bill for a V8 sports car.

You know when you're trundling round the motorway and out of the corner of your eye you think you see something cool and usually it's a Toyota Celica with a body kit and you get disappointed? Had a similar thing yesterday on the m25, only no disappointment for a change....

Looks like there was some kind of event at Goodwood yesterday with a few of them there cloud9

Wibble!

A guy on here had/has one... there are some videos of him driving it on the road. Stupid loud and a very tricky gearbox.

I’ve only ever seen one on the back of a transporter (on the m25), and one at a car show live. Very rare things.

I know. It's almost like they managed to find a door intended to fit that shell.
