I’m in dublin this week and walked past this dealer last night.

It looks like a very thread style of dealer:
Bristol, 964, 997, G class, E21, Merc R230 SL, with a Morris minor and a 6 series BMW (E63) inside. I approve all round!!
Is that opposite the Burlington hotel.
Might be called another name now.
Yep, but everyone still knows it at the Burlington. Dermot Wallace is an old school dealer, been around a long time. Always got a few nice bits for sale in there

Have fun in Dublin Rejn. Try get some dinner in either Roly’s or Peploe’s

You know the way you start with idly watching something on TV then before you know it you're down an internet rabbit hole?
Well when the TV is this documentary about Agnelli and you wind up looking at these it's not so bad.

One of the first things I did after my son was born was headed into FXBs for some celebratory surf n turf! smile

If you’re still here at the weekend there are a few car things going on, like the Cars & Coffee in Bray on Sunday morning. I’m down the country myself, otherwise I’d suggest to meet up for it

I was mocked many a time when in my early days at Fiat (pre Alfa) that I chose Multiplas as my company cars.......they really do drive brilliantly.

I remember taking a girl on a first date in one.......

..............I think she must have lost my number.

What's the perceived beardage on the 2.0 TwinSpark engines please? Or should it be V6 or nothing at all?

Twin spark is one of the nicest 4cyl engines ever produced imho and handle sweeter than the V6

However, the Busso V6 is one of the greatest engines ever produced

Hope this helps wink

In all seriousness I would be more than happy with a GTV TS over a V6 tbh

I picked up the current Mrs FB in a diesel Passat for our first date, her first words when she got in were my dad had one of these. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not laugh

hehe

I’ve never driven one, and I’m not sure I’d be bothered about a stock one, but that roofless one is a definite improvement and pretty cool AFAIC.

Multipla handles really very well indeed, very low centre of gravity and a wide footprint means that I was able to surprise a few other cars through the twisties.

While we are on the subject I picked up Mrs Golfer in a Mk2 RS2000 for our first date.
I thought I was a great lad but she hated it.

I picked up the now mrs Stott for our 1st date in a Series McRae Impreza. I thought its gold wheels and throbbing exhaust note were cool as fk, neither she or her dad were of the same opinion.

All turned out all right in the end biggrin

She still thinks she got a good deal. Well done to you. Not easing fooling them for so long.
