Working away from home has its downsides, but sometimes comes up with the goods. I’m lucky enough to be staying in Eindhoven this weekend, and the hotel is hosting the Dutch SLS club tonight. They started out at the Nürburgring on Wednesday & have been through various bits of France & then Luxembourg this morning to get here. Lovely, welcoming people who put up me & chatted for a bit.

I thought this thread was the most appropriate place. Enjoy!

I have a few more once imgur and the hotel wifi decides to let me load them...

Mmmm, that Manta smile

Dad had one in the mid 70's... 5 of us went to France in it... Concarneau, Britany from Derbyshire. With a tent on the roof and a boot full of food (1st time we'd been abroad, and mum and dad weren't sure what they be able to buy over there). Bit cramped in the back, but it was one of the best cars my dad had back then... sadly replaced by a Simca!

Seems to have sold for £11,700. Recall Prince having a DY one in a video, but may have been an 850i

Last two, Imgur finally got around to uploading... The first is good, the second a little sad.

Batst crazy cars, batst crazy prices.. at least for the CLK and EVO!

Clarkson has a CLK Black (or he had one)... I’d have put them at c.£100k without checking. Close to 300 seems a bit, err, optimistic!

The EVO looks properly mental.

Excuse my ignorance! Didn’t have a good enough look at the CLK.... though have to admit I wasn’t familiar with the DTM version.

nerd CLK DTMs limit the top speed to 155mph when the winter tyre 'option' is selected.

Also what a great selection of cars and the dawn chorus must have been tremendous!!

Thanks for posting the photos.

It's like a grown up 'Jolly' and with the 145 Alfa cloverleaf twinspark I think it'd be an ideal holiday seaside runabout, if you lived somewhere where a roof was only there to keep the sun off rather than the rain out.
