This chap? Admirable if you ask me, but I wonder what it does to the value of the car...

That is highly desirable, even more so on those wheels. Looks like it will be immensely floppy, but i wouldn't care.

There is a garage near me that sees some interesting sights, including this Ferrari Testarossa owner doing some winter maintenance on his RHD White ‘rossa.

I think there can’t be many Ferrari owners that are this rustic / agricultural!
He freely admits he couldn’t afford to buy it now. But will never sell it.

I remember gazing into the engine bay of one these some years ago and being horrified by the quality of the welds ( or lack of )
on that cage that's resting on the beer barrels.

That might be me.
Pulling the engine on the 355 isn't hard, just time consuming.
once its out, belts take about 20-30 mins, tops.

Probably kills the value of the car, but I enjoy doing the work.
That and the fact I drive it.

Must be worth £4.95 and a bag of crisps now. Tops...

But I also suspect that in 20 years time I'll still be enjoying a vintage Ferrari. Hopefully.

Happy new year everyone - my last year has been pretty empty regards interesting vehicles and motorsport events. I’m hoping to change this in ‘21 - hopefully Members Meet happens, I’ve taken up a subscription to Total 911, and I’ve promised myself 2021 is definitely the year I realise a lifelong dream of owning a 911, following so many near misses over the years!

There’s been some great content on You Tube (late brake show, Harry’s Garage etc) and Podcasts to keep me warm over the festive break.

Good to see there’s still some quality posting in here - I’ll keep checking in through 2021!

Braddo - hope you’ve been exercising that GT3 plenty!

I’m sure there’s a joke/anecdote about the F40 (which probably applies to most Ferrari’s of the era) that if you look at the welds and they seem to have been done by a blind man they’re original. If they actually seem to have been done by someone who knows what they’re doing then it’s been in a shunt and had some repairs done...

Gordon Murray had similar thoughts on the subject!

It does look that way laugh

There's a feature on the car in this months Octane magazine. Chap used it as a daily and raced it as well, times have changed since then!

Seeing as this is almost just my thread at the moment I'm going to post this clip from reddit.

It is NSFW as it's a bit sweary - think Samuel L. Jackson but it brightened my morning, but everyone is in their houses anyway so there's one silver lining smile

This mother...

You need sound.

Censoring is screwing up the link I think...

Here's a youtube link but it's age locked

Well that's taken something of the shine off my amusing clip...
