Agreed a deal with Pork yesterday for a 2019 Macan Turbo. I cant decide if its Thread or not, but I quite like them.
Interested to see how you get on with it. Had a couple of (non-Turbo) Macans as courtesy cars, and they all felt very....remote.

Surely any purchase is worth a mention even if it is not 20 years old.
100%. For some reason I thought they'd discontinued the Turbo as part of the 2019 update and replaced with the GTS.
The S and GTS are high on my list of next cars, along with stuff like the M340i touring.

The Macan Turbo is a very good vehicle. Mature. Grown up. Adult. Sensible. But very very good. In a certain Herr Doktor German professional middle classes kind of way.

Made it back from Devon with the XKR yesterday. I'd like to think if there was anything of importance wrong it would have reared its head on that journey.

Split it in 2 with an overnight pitstop in Lancaster, my back just can't take sitting in a car for that long, no matter the car.

Still better than the trains and planes it took to get there though...

Braw. I'd argue it sounds best at 'posing speed' as well. biggrin Almost the entire drive was dull motorway/A road so will get it on some twistier stuff this week.

They look stunning anyway but this seems to get multiplied as soon as you own one. When I came back out of a service station shop and looked at it there was a bit of disbelief. 'fk me, I actually own that now??'. hehe

Edit: to add after just having popped out in it...it feels special as soon as you get in it, don't have to be driving enthusiastically, can just be tootling along at 30mph. It's a trick that a lot of performance cars based on a saloon/hatchback just can't replicate, as good as they can be to drive.

A Macan Turbo is far more thread worthy than the 17 year old E53 3.0D I bought in August (and never mentioned biggrin).
Ditto for me biggrin (Mini Clubman runaround and grandad-spec S211 merc estate dog wagon)

It's hard to criticise the Macan for anything other than the usual SUV traits, being a reverse tardis that weigh 2 tons.

This for the princely sum of £6500, had it on the ramp and looks very good for 176k miles, last picture with its V10

Ooops sorry I thought S6. You could almost be Ronin in this which would be cool but that was the earlier v8. Instead you are in danger of looking like a wannabe Jason Statham from The Mechanic or maybe even Liam Neeson from Taken 2.

Maybe it needs a roof rack and a roof box to differentiate you from these people.

That's a lot of car for the money!

I saw an RS6 with the twin turbo V10 (Avant) last weekend. They are fantastically understated compared to the current Audi steroidal offerings.

This may be a stupid question but how does the engine present itself for want of a better term? Is it as 'V10' as say, an M5 /M6?

Back in the day I believe the S6 V10 was known as a bit lacking in Torque at lower revs and therefore you needed to rev it to get the best out of it. Not sure where I got that from so could be rubbish.

I really want a V10 before the world implodes but I need it to be a V10 in flashing, on fire, radioactive neon. It needs to shout at me "I AM A V10!" every. single. time. Much like a CGT is I suspect and the M5 / M6 is. High revving insane F1 inspired lunacy.

I think the Lambo engines and exec Audi car engines are very different, right?

The early Gallardo 5.0 is very different to the Audi V10, but the later Gallardo 5.2 is basically a spiced up version of the S6/S8 V10.
