Is that an SE9? Nice looking things the Calibra, shame it wasn't a better steer as Vauxhall missed a real trick there. The Turbo was a rapid old thing.
SE9's were all red and V6 IIRC. This will be an LE rather than a numbered SE I should imagine. All turbos, all black, all numbered and all with factory 25mm lowering springs I believe. nerd

Those BBS RX212's and the RX256's are getting pricey now. I need to get round to getting mine refurbished.
I'll take your word for it, my Vauxhall beard is (thankfully) more stubble after spending a couple of years working in the parts department of a main dealer as my first full time job. I still have flashbacks to people wanting Bedford CF parts and using scratched microfiche slides trying to work out part numbers laugh

I used to PDI for a Vauxhall group car supplier: it was always a toss up between which was more fun, the turbo or the V6.

Some interesting lots at the weekend https://angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic-auctions/2...
There seemed to be some very reasonable sale prices.

From memories of the time the Turbo was ultimately the better steer, but the V6 was less likely to blow a transfer box and be unable to move.

V6 easily did the best wheelspins though

That looks very nice.

A friend had one just like it that financially almost crippled him and ended being sold off his drive where it was sitting in a very sorry state. The guy was doing okay too.

Another friend also had one like that but with the heritage leather and that ended up on blocks too - not sure of he still has it.

I’d love one in Silverstone blue.

Embarrassing. I would say I'll take a Clio, but I imagine £7k doesn't touch the sides these days..

it's quite a 1980s/90s thing to have a 'special edition' that consists of nothing more than the standard edition with stickers and stty trim parts.

Not feeling the wheels, but otherwise this is fantastic.

A Clio Williams 3 sold last month for £17k + premium on Collecting Cars. It's only done 13k miles, so is probably up there in terms of pricing but shows where they're at right now.

Great fun to drive, my friends Mum bought a 2 brand new and let me have a drive. I was only 18, what was she thinking laugh

That does seem nuts - it is a Cat C though, but it wouldn't bother me at that price

I was expecting the MOT history to be pretty dire and lots of mentions of rust but NO !!
