I also love the fact that they have a “buy it now” price. Just click the button and they’ll process the $495k and the cars yours.

Yeah they've always got some lovely stock in. It's the kind of showroom you'd pop in and have a nose round if they were close by biggrin

Evening Threadists.

Following on from the SZ/Alfa theme;

I was at the Auto Italia Festival at Brooklands at the weekend and my word I have never seen so many Italian cars in one place at one time (and I've been to this event in the past). Pretty much every iteration of Alfa was there (albeit not one SZ nor Junior Zagato) plus a multitude of Lancia, Lamborghini, Abarth etc etc. I feel slightly bad that I didn't take the 'Sud Sprint but I didn't decide to go until the last minute.

So, on an Italian (and oddball Loon) theme -

Do love an SZ cool, and in a lot of ways it ticks more boxes than even an E30 M3

Boring work-horse type car, Mercedes C-Class 220d or BMW 3 Series?

Both estates, both automatics. Have borrowed a 3 Series and it was surprisingly good but the lack or keyless entry and other such trinkets infuriates.

Are they the only choices? Are we talking new?

I'd probably go for an XC40 if I could. If not, from the above two 3 series.

Not really I suppose, I'm more thinking family estates so A4 Avant would probably be in there as well.

We live rural so in reality a diseasal works best and cheapest, I just want something that is still fun to hustle around the country lanes which to be fair, the 320d really was (I was amazed).

2018 at the oldest, will more than likely keep over a 4 year PCP type deal.

3 series then in that case.

Audi is lovely but certainly not a fun car per se

Is keyless entry really that great?

Always been on my list of 'couldn't give two hoots about'.

The Type-R has it and so does the wife's X1, it's surprising just how much you miss it when it isn't there.

Doesn't help that I carry a st load of stuff in my pockets and fishing around for keys in the rain doesn't appeal too much, especially with your hands full.

It's about the only modern car technology I'd miss.

Just watching the highlights of the Spa 6 hours... it bloody snowed!

Love the SZ, Fulvia is personal favourite but not keen on that 330 in lunch tray white.
