On Collecting Cars, so cool.

That popped up on my Facebook feed….looks ace. My favourite colour for them too.
It looks nice, but I wonder how bad/good the automatic gearbox would be. I'd always be wondering if I should have paid more for a manual.

Fairly sure that quoted 0-60 is significantly wrong, not that it really matters and I'm sure on the move it would feel quick enough even with the auto.
It'd be rare that I'd properly horse it anywhere. It's a definition of casual smoke...why bother with those behind, beside or in front of you? Matters not A Jot. I'm off to pickup my 2 golf buddies and they will coo at the load capacity and be google-eyed at the the History of it. I'm in .
I haven't seen one of those in that yellow in the UK in an age, in fact the last one I saw was in Tokyo of all places about 10 years ago. By all accounts it looked incredibly cool.
A friend of mine that was in the army and posted in Germany bought one tax free when they were new in the same yellow, I think it was a manual but I wouldn't swear to it. They kept it for the required 6 months then sold it for about twice what they had paid for it. It seemed a lot faster than the figures would suggest, but the combination of front wheel drive, a reasonable amount of power (by 1995 standards) and a big heavy car did no favours for the handling, copious understeer being very easy to invoke. Looked fantastic though!
My standard car was the first car I drove at 150mph, and I always felt they handled OK!!

This popped up for sale on Facebook.
Not usually a 924 fan but this is quite nice.

I've seen it in the metal at the Goodwood flat 6 show last summer or the summer before. I quite like it, but I do like a 924 even if they can't pull the skin off a rice pudding

Oh my indeed, lovely that...as is the 924. I'd really like a 924S, bog standard as an unusual, fun daily.

Test drives will be made by me, with you as a passenger, unless the full sale price is sat with me in my bank account.
Cheers Jack but nah, you're alright.

What’s the problem with that? Surely he just wants proof the fact you are a buyer and not a test pilot?

By depositing the full cash amount in his account? That wouldn't even cover you for third party claims. Who are these test pilots going round to drive old classics anyway? I can understand saying unless you can prove you have comprehensive insurance on my car you can't drive it until you've bought it but no test drives unless the money is in my account? See ya.

That E30 is just lovely. thumbup

Might be heresy but I'd rather have that than a silly money LHD E30 M3!

Oh man. That is pretty much exactly how I'd want an E30.

Only little gripe is that I would prefer an alloy-blocked engine (e.g. 2.8 or 3L from late E36 or 330i?) for a bit less weight over the front wheels. Very, very tempting.

If you’re going to the bother of stroking an M50 and fitting ITBs etc, why not just drop an S50 in there for another 50+ BHP?

They're probably pretty rare and expensive these days, aren't they? Gone are the glory days of ratty £3k E36 M3s...

Very nice

Would go for different alloys but a minor point and it’s got the bits done that annoyed me re my older BMs

I’m not an investor and get very frustrated as we all do with the rise in prices as people accumulate, however I think that’s probably not a bad price and I suspect these will start to creep up a bit and that looks quite nice.

Although prices will probably leap as soon as I sell mine based on previous experiences…

Sadly I'll have to make do with the Hot Wheels model I picked up in Lidl the other day.
