Have you added in the cost of an extended warranty? You're a braver man than me thinking about running a JLR product outside of the warranty periodI dunno, 3 years down the line with another 25k on the clock, £25k feels about right to me. You could probably drop another £5k to get out easy by part exchanging I guess.

It was La Vie en Bleu/La Vita Rossa festival at Prescott at the weekend, I was there with my Dad and gave the Sud a 300 mile round trip run.Many many pre war Bugattis there so would think that's where they were heading.

He (his words) saw the move as nothing more than a move into customer relations as the dealership made hand over fist in new car sales (this was a year or so ago) and was pretty much a license to print money on service/warranty work but dealing with clients who spent a number of hours each month at the dealership wasn't his cup of tea.
As most of these clients are pretty wealthy, smoothing things over was the order of the day-apparently this dealership in particular ran very frequent shooting and horse trials days as part of the package to keep them spending.
I must admit, the Tuesday I went in to hand back the loan car I was trying I asked if there was a special incentive day on so busy was the "lounge area". Apparently not, it was just a regular busy day on the "service" side (there were more than 20 customers reading papers, working on laptops etc).

Few pics from the paddock on Saturday trip to Brands Masters Historic festival, I enjoy Goodwood events but this is certainly more down to earth, less people and a lot cheaper!
Took a walk around the whole GP circuit ( well as much as you are allowed) which I had not done for while, it is a wonderful track and great to watch 70/80's F1 cars back where they belong.
Last but not least this was parked up next to us in the car park, I am standing there thinking wow thats cool as fk then my son pipes up 'why has someone come to race meeting in a silver hearse'

A lot of those at Brands will have been in Spa a couple of weeks ago, then off to the Nurburgring and back to Silverstone, back to Germany for the Old Timer before Goodwood and Monza classic at the end of September.
