Generally, I can’t stand wrong wheel drive but the Type R is the only car I can think of that would tempt me right now to buy with that layout, simply because it’s such a binary love hate relationship everyone has with it despite its clear competence. Such a brilliant car!
I used to think the same till I drive a 10 year old megane R26.A well set up FWD car can be a really great drivers car on a dry day particularly round a track.
For general British weather I think I’d still err on the side of 4wd through.
