The older Astons bring to mind the phrase 'all fur coat and no knickers'. The old fashioned V12 lump with just two wheel drive is not a patch on the sophisticated compact W12 (see Audi SSP 267 and 268) powertrain of the all wheel drive Bentley. Rumour has it that the cure for oil starvation of the end cylinders was to shorten the dipstick.
