Looks lovely but I suspect it will cost more than this (although I don't have prices for either):

I would rather have the original. Even a reworked E30 M3 won't be as fast and sharp as a newer car. And anyone who turbocharges an M3 needs seeing to - a big chunk of the pleasure of driving an M3 is working the NA engine.

Plus with the original, as long as you look after it, it will probably go up in value over time. Not so sure that would apply to a butchered version, however well done.

The only thing I don't like is the wheels, everything else is a winner.

Love it, but I'd definitely prefer the original wheels and clocks and seats and gearstick and I wouldn't want a turbo...... I think I've just talked myself into an original one

Few cars look as utterly perfect as a well setup E30 M3.
Stunning biggrin

All a little unresolved and a little bitsa IMO. It shows the creators didn't really understand what is the core spirit of the E30 M3 nor how to execute what they got wrong even.

Turbocharging is not what the E30 M3 is about. In competition the E30 M3 competed against turbo cars and gave them a bloody nose. On the road, the drivetrain was all about razor sharp throttle response, singing revs and making the most of the momentum. I can't imagine Singer making a turbo car.

The instruments are like having a 1980s Kenwood head unit in a 911 2.7 RS. You just wouldn't.

There was a lot of work done on the Gp A cars which allowed larger wheels without compromising wheel travel. This has not been done, so I can't imagine how stiff it might have to be.

The wheels are almost right, but somehow the dish at the hub face seems wrong. Too deep?

The steering wheel. The original wheel was perfect, particularly in suede. There were also wheels used in motorsport which would be more fitting.

Looks like they have also dumped the ABS. That might effect how you get in registered road legal.

They have used rose jointed front suspension ala Gp A/DTM. This won't work well on the road. It might be nice and tight on press test drives, but it will be knocking like a gud un after a few thousand miles. Singer use stock bushes!

The creators came on the M Power forum years ago seeking comments and duly ignored the advice of current owners.

It has taken since 2015 to produce the first car!

Very nice car but I wouldn't group them with Singer Porsches.

E30 M3s having extensive race and rally history means that all manner of upgraded mechanical components are readily available anyway.

Unlike Singer who have many unique components like their in-house designed carbon bodywork, bespoke engines jointly developed with WIlliams etc. this E30 doesn't seem different to what a lot of other companies can offer.
Exactly my thoughts, it seems very 'bolt off/ bolt on' from the article to the extent where you could just buy one and do it yourself, sort of the way i've gone with my 2002, however i have had parts developed for the car.

Of course not everyone has the time or want to do it themselves but do have the money to pay someone else! (i certainly dont!)

Well, its very similar to what alot of people did with their e30M3s a couple of years ago before the value went skyrocketing. I guess its more ok value wise to mod the car if it has a company name on it. I havent heard about this company though. Its a cool car though..

I hope the turbo option is just a method of weeding out inappropriate customers.

I'd like to see the Ford Capri get the treatment. Surprised nobody has done the Testarossa yet.

The 968 could make a relatively unstressed 400 bhp with freely obtainable parts. Sink enough money into one and 5-600 bhp isn't unrealistic.

Any success against the Sierra RS500 was largely due to Ford teams taking points off each other, and BMW team orders.

I'm totally unconvinced by the interior, and i'm struggling to see any of the beauty or detail that goes into a Singer.

The E30 M3 is a wonderful thing, but I see nothing here that's visually an improvement on the original.
