About 50% of young people and about 25% of older people, apparently. With the rest being put off by genuine worries, myths, and lack of choice.

I don't remember being asked. I'm put off because I used to be a car enthusiast. As dull as I find new cars, EVs take it to a whole new level for me. I can't come up with a single reason why I'd choose a Tesla Model S over an S Class, or the S Max MPV thing over an X5, or the Model 3 over a 340i. Autopilot might've been one reason, but adaptive cruise control is just as good IMO. I'll stick with ICE until I'm forced by law to change.

You've test driven them all back to back?

You driven every ICE car back to back?

Only the ones of which I have strong opinions of the relative driving experiences.

Nissan Leaf, the nasty Renault Zoe, the ghastly little Tesla hatchback thing, and a ride in a Model S. As I said, I'll stick with ICE until forced to change by law.

You're right, it is my call, and it differs from yours. If they ever manage to make an EV car that isn't completely dead and soulless in every single manner, I'll reopen my mind. As of now, I'll stick to cars that I enjoy driving, like a car enthusiast.

Gastly little Tesla hatchback thing? The only hatchbacks Tesla make as the Model-X and Model-S and I wouldn't exactly call either little!

You'll never know, because you have already decided that if it's an EV it must be dead and soulless.

Seems to be the correct assumption so far. Which lively and characterful EV cars have you driven lately?

The Model 3, a cousin has one in the US.

Is it? Only had a drive of it, didn't realise it was a saloon. Certainly didn't look like one.

Wait, I do stand corrected, there is one EV car that interests me, the Polestar 1. I still wouldn't own one, but I do like how it looks.
