Sensational colour and the best wheels ever fitted. What a beaut.

I find the sellers assertion that 'the leather is in exceptional condition' perhaps a little truth-stretching.

The photo of the pile of 'service history' is a little dispiriting, also. An invoice from Demon Tweeks, a DVLA form for assigning a cherished plate, eBay and ECP invoices and a 5 year old tax disc aren't particularly reassuring or impressive, are they?

The situation with the stick-on badges would be easily and quickly remedied, hopefully

Still love it. Did I mention the colour was sensational, or that I liked the wheels?

(I'm talking about the blue one, not the one directly above. Which is also pretty tasty, at a glance. Of the first photo.)

Yes, those 17" rims don't work on the saloon or coupe for me, they look too big. They are on one of my s124 and don't look as bad on hte bigger body, though the Sportline spec 8 holes are the perfect 124 wheel for me.
Add says comes with refurbished 8 holes.

I think it would have taken a certain type of cad to order one of those with a manual gearbox. Brilliant.

A few weeks ago, happenstance brought about a W202 C250 Turbodiesel. I bought it from an old boy that lives locally to me, who has owned it since new. It's done 90k and has been maintained by MB Chesterfield (the supplying dealer) and the little garage up the road from me that does all of my MOTs - so it couldn't be more of a known car if it tried. I've been using it for the last few weeks and its superb, good for cruising at altitude, cold air con and has returned me over 40mpg.

I intended to keep it and just use it as a sort of car for everything, low running costs and so on. However, my W123 comes back from paint today, being swapped for the 300TD which is to be painted, my SL is undergoing major borkage repair and the G Wagen has been living elsewhere for a while as I'm totally out of space. Keeping the W202 is beginning to seem completely daft. I've had it serviced, fitted four new Dunlop's and am going to have it machine polished. The bodywork is very good for one of these, especially a late one! Any takers?

That’s very lovely and it would be a great thing to own. But I can’t justify putting 20 or more thousand a year on anything that isn’t sheddy or could be disposed of eventually

Give it a manual box and some Wolfrace alloys and that's identical trim colour and specification to my dads old one. Memories!

You need an r129sl invisibility cloak.

I was in the old ferrero rocher.

I got a nice photo of the car on an empty 4 lane motorway in the dry late at night!

I meant whatever magical device it is that allows our own r129sl to emulate the space shuttle without getting pinched by the rozzers.

Adopting the same practice would see me in jail by lunchtime, such is my luck.
