Anyone fancy a project? Been for sale for ages gradually dropping.
Photos taken in the graveyard and lines such as "They began to grow in price quicker than mushrooms" won't be helping him sell the car!

Currently in Berlin and there are alot of ‘youngtimer’ Mercedes still on the road.

W124, W126 G wagens & those old vans?! All barge fodder.

Barge update:
Range Rover (1993 3.9 VogueSE) passed its MOT this morning with one advisory for surface corrosion underneath, and I'm happy with that as none of it is close to serious. Every year the MOT tester says "Going to have to fail it because there's no Cat" and every year I say "It's a pre-Cat model" and every year they reply "But the computer says it should have one" and I say "It's wrong" and point them towards the MOT emissions test docs on the website and show that mine was from the VIN range before Cats were fitted and therefore it's exempt from the Cat emissions test. However, there is a leak in the rad and so I will fit a new one, it's due to arrive tomorrow.
Great news. Always a worrying time with an RRC! It must be one of the last ones without a cat. Mine was an October 1993 and it had a cat.

No modifications other than air ride and it is purple, I love it.

Was it that one from RR that leaked in the rain?

No corrosion mentioned on the past few MOT’s.

I need moral support.

I'm going to Canada for a month and have been looking at getting an old BMW. I already posted a thread about it, alas the deal fell through.

I've found a lovely e34 525i for 1400 dollars. Bar the colour, it's the same type of car I spent my formative years driving around Canada in as a reckless teenager. It's perfect. It even comes with a 30 day warranty.

Anyway, I just need you lot to tell me how lovely this thing is.

My old one:

My Dad had one just like that with a brown cloth interior.

Yup, same reg. It might be damp in there, but it is achingly cool... [yes, I just said that].

Sold at 4100! Even with the minor Bodywork here and there that looked like good value for a gen Sportline. Did you get it JK?

Even with those miles £3k for an ugly, thirsty, deeply unfashionable, not very fast, 22 year old Toyota Ghia seems “a bit steep”.

I don’t have much use for the 124 cab I already have, never mind another one! Looked great value at 4100, plenty of spare change to get it up to a nice standard and not lose any £.

^ Oof. That's what they cost only a few years ago...

Another Cayenne turbo in budget, with LPG. More tolerable to run, more to go wrong I guess.

2003 E55 AMG on a fb group for £4,750 with 253k miles

I suspect it's one for the very brave..!!

I'd post a link but dunno how.

Can you tell me the Group? i'm keen on that ;-) I have a need for something i do hardly any miles in with a trip across to austria once a year smile
It must be eminently negotiable also, as not many will touch it. £3,500 is my gut feel.
That grill insert makes it look newer than 2003. f**king gash.
Fixed.
Newer than 2003 and fking gash are hardly mutually exclusive when it comes to M-B "styling"
“** gash” is a touch non-thread, but I see how some/most would post it in the badly modified thread.

As with all beige cars, remember the travelling rug, road atlas (must be at least 15years out of date), and pack of worthers.

Very thread.
