Whats really funny is that some on a motoring forum for petrol heads dont understand that some would have liked a 3 door.
Oh I understand that some would have liked it, but I also understand that car companies are in the business of making money. For every person like you, who only wants a three-door, there are probably 50 who only want a five-door. Designing, homologating and manufacturing cars is expensive. They know that most people who would have bought a three-door will, if they stop being sold, just buy a five-door instead. It's low risk in terms of sales, but extremely beneficial in terms of production costs. If there was a sufficient market for three-door hatchbacks, more manufacturers would go to the trouble of making them. There isn't, so they don't. It's that simple.

The three-door C-segment hatch is dead. The Golf is about the only one left and, seeing as the three-door Polo has already been dropped, I'd be surprised if we see another three-door Golf. You might as well just try and accept that they're not coming back. Or buy a Fiesta ST and make the most of it while it lasts.

We’re pretty much the only country in Europe that likes 3 door cars anyway so most manufacturers are killing them completely.

I have a feeling that when you turn into Blanchimont on the limit of lateral and the rear does its thing, the number of doors becomes quite irrelevant.

I believe they are carbon revolution wheels fitted to that car, if so this could be one serious machine cool
Very surprised if they are - they are £10K a set retail for 19s. May just be a similar design - Speedline tend to do their wheels.
If they are CR, even with Renault's buying power, that would be a staggering proportion of the cost of the whole car for wheels.
You can get cast wheels such as OZ Alleggeritas that aren't much heavier for a small fraction of the price.

The Rays that Nissan fitted to my Nismo 370z retailed at £6,400 a set so the group obviously does have some buying power but £10k a set seems a bit out there for a car that will be in the region of £5k cheaper.

I think it looks cool, sure I would've preferred a three door version but it is what it is. All hatches will be five door from now on as it's what the customer (the average one) wants. Looking forward to seeing the results, those brakes are mega!! smile Even with the graphics it's still more tastefully designed than the civic type R, and even that's fugly looks are warming on me!

And yes, I am a Renaultsport fanboy! biggrin
