Good news, an advert for them appeared on Facebook the other day I did of course have to highlight your case on a reply, I expect it along with my comments about Equity Release (another bunch of sharks allowed to swim the waters of the open market freely) will get removed.

Strangely enough I have just posted the blog to a couple of bmw forums I’m on and a couple of bmw Facebook groups. I’m sure it’s cost them a few more customers from the response.

Is this the one where you were advised to drive back from France? If so - well done! smile

Well done OP, the warranty company should not have let it get this far.

I hope they now settle the matter and don't push it the final inch.

A warranty company which we’re not allowed to name has allegedly attempted to rip off a PHer. He’s fighting them through every avenue available to him and seems to finally be making some progress.

Just found (it's not very hard to locate for those interested - just ask google with type of car and adversary firm name if you recall it and hey presto) OP's blog - absolutely unbelievable the events since PH took down the original thread and the firm in question richly deserve the entire saga to be broadly publicised and reap the consequential whirlwind....

OP is to be massively congratulated for staying the course, standing his ground and exercising considerable restraint. As I posted earlier I sincerely hope warranty co. rebuff the adjudicator decision (ok ok would cause a further delay for OP) and then escalation is made to ombudsman who endorses adjudicator decision - thus putting a precis of the circumstances (with co named) and final decision firmly into the public domain.

Also as someone in my professional capacity who's been on the end of the odd perverse and expensive FOS decision - well done on this one thus far ladies & gents (ok it was a slam dunk) but good call nonetheless........

Open question to mods though, and noted OP has a minor transgression on PH terms right now... but PH has broad reach and is invaluable (and entertaining) to many if OP is willing and able to evidence the final decision / outcome will "you" restore the original thread???

Plus 1 and agreed good to see a positive turn and hope you get a decent final resolution.

The original threat sadly showed us what he new owners of PH are made of (jelly).

That thread was kept so on track by the OP in a professional non slanderous way, it’s should never have been deleted as it was in the interest of anyone who buys a used car (over 10m people per year in the U.K.).
