Is this a thread to discuss the OP's latest result in his claim, or to discuss the forum moderation?

.
One could argue that the two subjects are quite closely linked within the context of this forum.

OPs been banned. WTF mods?
Better not have. PH should be looking out for car enthusiasts, not making it easier for firms such as this to fleece customers. I believe the name and shame policy is misguided.

Well done OP - others will follow you.
It's a duplicate account, which is against the site rules, his original is still fine and not banned.

Given we are now discussing factual events that have been verified by an overseeing body, rather than opinion, why isn't the name of the company allowed to be posted?

Used car buyers have a right to know what this company is like.

You mean the fact many here pay £££££ into warranties (over years) for peace of mind and the companies reject claims (for covered items) as a business practice. Hell yes such companies should be named and shamed.

Ah, turns out i'm not banned

or maybe i was banned and then reinstated last night

  • strokes chin suspiciously*
anyway, fair enough to removing my other account, though i only created it as i thought i'd been banned on my original

Five pages of responses, thanks again for all continued support. As others have said, i'm also partly hopeful that they reject the investigators decision so that we can go to the final hurdle. First child due a week today, so it will be great when BBC Watchdog come to film and i can say "and i had all of this going on at the same time as becoming a father" as i shed a solitary man-tear due to the stress (ro something)

though it would also be nice to close the door on everything and get my car back

you'll also all be pleased to hear that in the 6 months that they've sat on their hands, an extra £13k in bills have been racked up for storage, engineers fees, restripping the engine, taxis, rental cars etc etc. so a bill that was once about £20k is now over £30k

I followed your last thread from page 1 and I am delighted at the outcome for you. I still think its unfair you had to do it but as others have said hats off for following through and it sets a precedent for others to follow when they have a GENUINE claim like yours.

All joking aside, and still not over yet etc, but this has been fvcking stressful and i have lost sleep lying there at night raging at how they can do this. So i feel absolutely no sympathy for them whatsoever

Your original ban was a temporary, 7 day one. Nothing suspicious going on last night. smile

Anyone wanting a warranty who does a bit of research on warranty providers and reviews will find this pops up on Google.

Whether we like the posting rules or not, we accepted the no naming and shaming rule when we signed up to PH. There are other websites where we can name and shame, so if it such an issue use them instead.

You are banging your head against a brick wall here so best accept it or move on smile

Great news.

Keep up the blog, I have been following.

How long has the car been off the road, 9 months? That can't be good.

These companies win against the little man because most people can't afford to be without their car for 7 months.

If I ever buy a used car in the future, I will categorically avoid this company.

Absolutely. So the little man just gets the car fixed then Warranty Co say "well there's no evidence now" so dont pay out
