RE: Ford launches 'Performance Edition' Fiesta ST
Discussion
Very tempted by one, but my dealer won't agree to include any deal sweeteners, such a free servicing. Paying full list price is just not the one for me, so I at least want to feel like I've got a bit of a deal Might just gamble on a few being sat at dealers when they don't all sell, like the RS editions were, might be easier to get a bit of a deal then.

If that is right then I think I agree with your approach. JP.Racing said:

They will likely all be sold instantly, the focuses did not seem to hang around long either with the reds and oranges being snapped up straight away.Elatino1 said:

Another 25 bhp would set it apart from the standard car. It's not rocket science to map and turn up the boost. Maybe Ford don't fancy 3 years warranty with more boost....
Have you driven a mk8 ST?If so did you feel it needed more power?
It drives very very well don’t get me wrong but I enjoyed the Jcw more - when specced with the jcw pro suspension and 17” alloys & supersports in my opinion it’s also a better steer - but a fair comparision then is with this limited edition fiesta

In my opinion yes, you’re at the mercy of a well driven 17 year old clio 172 cup down a B road
Both have a very similar power to weight ratio (within a couple of bhp) but remember the Clio doesn't have ABS, has crap seats, isn't as good on fuel, isn't going to be something you walk away from in a crash, has crap headlights, no LSD, worse brakes, rubbish stereo, power steering which boils the fluid all the time.It might not seem like progress but it definitely is. (and that's coming from a 182 owner...)

The Heritage 50 seemed to be mostly bought by greedy dealers who then inflated the price massively and sold them on. As for the RS editions, not sure that's the case... There was a few available sat on forecourts a while after they'd come out, could also be had with a bit of discount.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
