Another used car buyer here, always stakeout AutoTrader for a near perfect spec though - The only option I didn't get which I wanted on my M235i was a sunroof, wasn't a deal breaker by any stretch but it would be nice, especially in summer... Oh, and the full M-Performance pack with LSD would've been ideal but I don't even think such a car exists haha!

I have been incrementally building up the full M Performance pack since buying, I don't think I'll ever retrofit an LSD though... Putting that money away for the next car which will have one as standard! hehe

I've just thought of one, after having to take the car for a run to regen the DPF.

A big, NA, petrol engine.

The only option I wish I had on the Supra, is the roof box.

Cruise control would be nice too I guess.

My most recent purchase came with leather as standard, but seat belts were an option. Of the four available options, the two it doesn't have are a steering column lock and a heated rear window. I'd rather like the heated rear window as it doesn't have any exterior mirrors.

My daily has a few bits missing that I'd have liked -
- Xenon headlamps
- Sunroof
- Wood steering wheel
- Cruise control

Three of those things are easily retrofitted, however I've only bothered with the wheel so far. Still can't complain, it was already 14 years old when I bought it...

Happily my old 5 series is almost perfectly spec’d for me, so I was very lucky to find it (530i, SE, manual, xenons, memory comfort seats, sunroof, folding seats) the only thing I would have liked is heated seats, and possibly a nicer grade of leather

I always thought that heated steering wheels were ridiculously unnecessary things, but after having a RR Sport as a courtesy car with one for a few weeks during the Beast From The East last year I really miss it now...
Me too, I bought the top spec Skoda Citigo SE L, came with heated seats, thought I'd never use them.

Then I fell in love with them and I'm dreading having to get rid of it as whatever I'll be able to get as a temporary replacement will not be as good.

Then I got involved in an accident, and whilst my car was in for repair, I got a 1.4 Corsa Griffin loan car, which had heated seats, heated steering wheel, cruise control, apple car play, and auto lights. Really sad when I had to give it back, mine seems almost sparse in comparision.

On topic: I really wish I'd specced the cruise control when I got my car. All those painful motorway road-works would've been so much easier with cruise.
