I nominate the G11 BMW 7 series, in original pre facelift SWB format. Stunning big machine, and very proportional, which can sometimes be an issue for these big barges.

In the category of “executive” saloon, the E32 has always done it for me more than any other, particularly in B12 form

\Looks like the nose has been grafted onto another car, one that has had a boot grafted to that.

..aswell as the Pininfarina masterpiece Peugeot 505 Turbo Injection

Glad someone has mentioned this. Beautifully proportioned. I like the face, too.

Already nominated but wouldn't be my first choice despite having owned it for 18 years

The bit that always surprises me when I drive it for the first time in a while is the visibility - it really is a greenhouse on top

Others posted better pictures of shiney things so I posted one of mine being "used"

Also nominated and I'm in agreement the E38

But my all time favorite 4 door 3 box shape is

I didn't own that one but owned about 20 others over the years and loved every one

Several BMWs spring to mind, but this is one of the nicest for me - and the B7 RS4 .
Interesting to see so many Maseratis, never liked them (Big, daft looking fragile things to me)

A face like a blind cobbler's thumb.

In Scotland there's the expression "been dooking (ducking) for chips".
