Who makes the best V8 NOISE?

My modest fleet includes a Chimaera 500, very modified, fully decatted, lots of valve overlap, peak power just over 6k rpm, just epic... like hair on the back of the neck standy up epic.... and, a V8 Vantage... more epicness.... like Aston epicness... God I love my cars, they’re both, um, epic

A TVR 400 Se (Wedge) makes quite a nice pop and bang and grumble. My 5.0 Chimaera is also quite a throaty roar of a beast...

Im going AMG 63 n/a too here. So much so that we have a deposit down on one, which we will be collecting if I can persuade the missus that it’s not too thirsty (yeah, I know) compared to the Z4 MC.

You'd usually use the term lobes when talking about the lumpy bits on a cam.

The V8 in the Alfa 8C or a Maserati with a tuneful exhaust, absolute bliss.
But if you went the V6 route then my own humble little 156v6 with its Wizard exhaust. Sounds marvellous!

I bought a 350i and thought that sounded good then I got a 400SE with a sports exhaust. I've never heard a car like it. Just awesome.

I had the same experience with the same model of car!
It led me to buying a succession of TVRs.
