Sorry to jump back on topic for a moment, but there's some photos shared on one of the Land Rover forums that appear to show a graphic of the new car un-camo'd:

Looks excellent - an all new vehicle with a nod to the past with the rear door mounted spare wheel, safari roof windows etc.https://jalopnik.com/heres-the-2020-land-rover-def...

That looks apt for a Landy. I do hope that the agricultural version mentioned on the last page (apposed to the kitted out /luxury spec) doesn't have any touch screen nonsense. I can't imagine the buyer of one, as say a farm work piece, will have much time for that. The split spec thinking is a clever move to keep the purists/ those who want it as a tool happy. Good strategical move.
They've had a hard job, as the LR is such an iconic car. Much like the quandary BMW will have faced with replacing the Mini. Also in much the same way purists wailed at the Mini being replaced, there will be the same with this. Thing is, much like the original Mini, the LR had become rather crap all said. Much over due.

...and like the MINI, now it has been replaced, JLR can bring about a new one every 6-7 years in normal product cycles, rather than have to try and make it hang out there for ever.Slow said:

So I can buy a brand new £40k car that's as safe as a £20k car from 12 years ago. Great selling point, that. Well done.
Do you think the people who buy these even give a st?Sold cars for a main dealer/supermarket type place and not once did I ever get asked the safety rating of any cars.

Every time I sell a LR I swear I will never buy another, but the force is strong with this one... I just hope they can make it reliable.LR are not very good at keeping this secret are they?
Will they offer it in green I wonder?

I saw it across facebook at the weekend... It's not a bad looking vehicle, but there's something I can't put my finger on that just doesn't look quite right.LR are not very good at keeping this secret are they?
Looking forward to seeing it on display in Frankfurt.

Tend to agree. It’s also the I6 petrol engine that is grabbing me. As much as I love V8s I have to confess that I’m a real sucker for the straight 6. The hybrid I6 is looking like a remarkably good family bus. The only problem being the price of a used SVR Sport Will they offer it in green I wonder?
I wonder how weird this modern shape would like in the traditional range of Land Rover colours? Odd?
