All Imprezas suffer fuel surge on track with the stock fuel system, the spec c has an anti fuel surge pickup but it doesnt work that well when pushing hard on tarmac, i can get fuel surge with 40 litres in the tank on sticky rally tyres.

Majority of newage cars have 60 ltr tank including JDM STi, spec c and RA have 50 litre tank.

As the car has a propshaft the tank is made with a hump that effectively splits the tank in two, it uses a vacumn transfer system to pull fuel accross, when the tank runs low you get fuel surging accross to the left side of the hump, the fuel pickup is on the right side, so on most UK circuits it will empty that side if pushing hard.

Its an easy fix by fitting an external swirl pot and pump, something you would do if doing serious track work and concerned about carrying the weight of fuel needed to stop surge.

The newage cars are heavy, so dont expect the brakes to handle hard track use that is sustained, sprinting i used stock brakes which are awesome with the correct pad choice, (the sports brake system is very clever, it shifts brake bias based on g sensor input) but they suffer heat soak over a long run.

You can make these cars seriously rapid with the correct mods. Mine looks stock but is stupid quick for a daily driver with over 500lbft.
