Skoda VRS owners - how do you find the interiors? A few people I know who have sat in them say they find them a little plasticy. I currently have a 3 series and fancy something equivalent / nicer. Will the VRS interior leave me cold?

Also any issues with the VRS auto box?
Not as good as a golf and certainly not as good as a 3 series but better than a Seat. But then again it cost me less than £20k brand new and will do 0-60 in nigh on 6.5 seconds, getting a 3 series estate that would do that has a list price more than twice that so even with 20% discount off that it's more than 50% more expensive in cash terms so I'd expect a significantly better interior in the BMW!

Can't really comment on the auto box as I chose a manual but from the Briskoda forum they seem relatively solid.

I purchased my 2016 Octavia VRS Estate last month. It is replacing a 2018 BMW 530e company car (which I still have and won't be handing back until November). There is no argument that the BMW is plusher and more refined, but the Skoda in no way feels cheap or wanting. I haven't bothered driving the BMW since picking up the Octavia. Previous to the BMW I had a 2015 Golf GTD Estate. Appreciate it's a while since I had that, but I'd say the Skoda is comparable.

Mine is also DSG auto. I've only done 400 miles but no complaints so far.

I find mine to be fine in terms of the materials used. A couple of rattles though.

Have an Octavia vRS manual, find it ok. Can get a little road noise though. Although I use my jag at weekends which doesn't help when returning to the Skoda!

There's a definite 'boom' north of 70 leptons. Well known for it apparently.

I can't imagine a jag helps at all laugh

Your wheels look significantly better than mine. I shall be round with a jack forthwith.

Perfect all rounder.
Very cool.

Normal person: Shame BMW never made an M3 Touring. I'll have to make do with a 335i instead.
Me: Shame BMW never made an M3 Touring. I'll have to make do with an AMG instead
You: Shame BMW never made an M3 Touring. I'll have to make my own instead (!)

You will maybe remember the pics of my 530bhp C5 RS6 at the start of this thread.

Here is my new to me C6 RS6 running 748bhp.

Its such a shame that JLR never made an aggressive version of their current sport brake. I have a soft r-sport but would love a tuned beast with presence

I'll have a look at the thread. That's running almost 100% more power than my car. That's astonishing.

Now a paid up member of the fast estate crew! I wasn't sold on it at first but it's got under my skin the more I've driven it.
Used it as intended for a site visit up a farm track in Lincolnshire

And after a good clean
