I can see how that looks now...
laugh Haha, yeah, when it first went up it looked overpriced, but by the time I bought it (and looking now), the price looks about average, and I got a pretty decent trade in for my F11 520d. Crazy!

Man after my own heart - weekday fast estate, weekend fast estate!

I'd like all of the above please.

I assume a 5 fast estate garage would be deemed perfectly acceptable on PH?

Mine isn't fast compared to 99% of those posted previously and it's getting pretty leggy and battered so I have sod all photos nowadays too!

What a thread!

I have had mostly (ish) Avant's / Estates. I love the practicality, and the subtleness of them.

Having recently been dailying a MK6.5 GTD for work (And 3 weeks in France) and a E86 Z4M for weekends, but now after reading this I'm back in the game for a S6, 340i, 335d, 540I or a 535d! although those Mercs look nice! just need to flog the Zed.

Here are my previous steeds!

My first Avant, 2.0 four pot manual, with a go faster number plate!

Then I got the Mrs a SE version, which she took up to 240k with only 2 break downs (Broken coolant bottle, twice)

Then I got a new 3 series 318d (Never buying new again) pretty bland, but good at carrying dogs!

Then I got a £1200 barge, which turned out to be one of the best cars I have owned. Apart from a steering pump breaking (£50 fix) it was faultless over 18 months! E46 328i, Auto, loads of toys. I'd buy it again tomorrow!

Then came another A4 Avant, 3.0 S Line Mapped to stage 1 (Apparently) I loved the stance (with some spacers) and the de-badged look.

and finally the F11 520d, for more commuting work, great place to be over a long journey, great on fuel the Mrs even got 134mph out of it in Germany on our XMAS road trip up to Malmo!

I'm off to scour Auto Trader!

Spurred on by the fast Volvos on this thread I went off to have a look for an early 2wd V70R manual.

Turns out they're very rare as most are Autos with AWD, gutted.

All look lovely, but this is the fast estate thread.

Picked me up a hot vee V8T in less shouty bodywork recently.

Did 30mpg from Nottingham to Cirencester on the non-Motorway Fosse route, great drive and dispatches anyone holding you up with ease (even teslas being driven by scared people). Had the sport diff option so effectively same as RS6 in lower tune. So quiet and refined, baby slept most the way.

Going in for a couple of niggles on warranty tomorrow (knocking front right suspension, wing mirror replacement).

Went to 'Duke of London' car dealer in west London today with my car club. Quite like this shot one of the other members took.

That's a really nice drive! I worked in Bourton most of last summer so did that every week, lovely road even in a Peugeot Partner

Brilliant!

To most folks it's just another 2.0 litre diesel or thereabouts.
