I predicted a few weeks back that this thread would prove expensive for me, and so it has ...
2019 E63S bought from Mercedes Benz Croydon & brought back here to the Isle of Man just before all of the ferries were too crowded with bikes for the TT.
I bought it sight unseen, having had a 6.2 litre NA E63 Estate in the past and an AMG GTS with (I believe) essentially the same engine as the E63S and knowing that it came with a 2 year warranty from Mercedes.
Very happy with it so far!
I would've happily delivered it myself had I known! So basically you can experience this machine untethered on the mountain?2019 E63S bought from Mercedes Benz Croydon & brought back here to the Isle of Man just before all of the ferries were too crowded with bikes for the TT.

Yes, once all of the bikes have left after TT, the roads will be returned to the natives and we can enjoy them again and, where a road is "de-restricted" here, that means no speed limit. The new beast has the "Driver's Package" so the top speed is limited to 180mph, rather than 155 - not that I anticipate getting anywhere near that!p993man said:

It's not as fast or as exciting as most of the other cars in this thread but here's my newly acquired 530d;
It's still pretty flighty as it's running somewhere near 300bhp which is plenty enough to keep me entertained, it's also quite fun to drive being a rare manual. I wasn't sure if I was going to get along with it at first as it's replaced an e39 540i (and a Transit!) but it's really grown on me, as a 'do it all' car it seems very hard to beat.
Paint correction and all the light scratches gone. Professional two stage polish. Ceramic coat to keep it all lasting a few years.
The car looks amazing. Just a coin sized dent in the bonnet to deal with (looks like someone sat on it with jeans on), and the wheels to refurbish. Kerb marks and also some paint bugging on a couple of spokes.
Looking good for a 10 year old family wagon! The colour, which I always loved, is now very nice in the sun. Very deep - it looks as if the metallic flakes are set in a layer of glass, it's so lustrous and deep.

That looks stunning - is it Tanzanite? I'm looking to get mine machine polished soon. I've just been looking at how lustrous the recently-repainted back bumper on mine looks compared to the rest of the car. Got to get it done ASAP.The colour, which I always loved, is now very nice in the sun. Very deep - it looks as if the metallic flakes are set in a layer of glass, it's so lustrous and deep.
Also, thought you were toying with selling it at one point? Not now, I guess.
Not sure on the colour - I will look it up. It's a gunmetal metallic that is far nicer in the metal than photos.
Basically I need something with awd for going to the Alps in winter. But I always have such trouble parting with this car. Its looks and the spectacular engine are really quite special.
It will have to go though. And I think the 4x4 will be boring and practical as frankly this sort of car is wasted in and around London. I have another V8 for drama and theatre.
It's due a service, and I suspect I will put it up for sale afterwards.

Yeah, I've seen pics before and I didn't remember it being blue - that must just be a function of the sky reflecting in it. Basically I need something with awd for going to the Alps in winter. Good luck with whatever you do next.
