Thanks both, excellent back to back notes
The 4.0 seems alot better really, 35 is actually amazing and an upgrade for me on my 3.0 V6 supercharged which never gets past 31 and is around low 20's mostly.
Audi 4.0 TT TFSI in the S6 at Stage 1 510hp does 35 minimum on motorway. I've regularly had 38 on M4. Once had 44 from London to Reading, mostly 50mph zone but still impressive. The 4.0 seems alot better really, 35 is actually amazing and an upgrade for me on my 3.0 V6 supercharged which never gets past 31 and is around low 20's mostly.

I genuinely think I'd daily an Alpina for about 15 years and they hold their value too. Suddenly £80k or so over 15 years doesn't seem completely outlandish.
If I've done the math right that's still £444 a month in just depreciation. Ouch. tenmantaylor said:

Nice! How is the RS6 in terms of running costs and things breaking? I idly peruse them in my quest for something 4x4...My previous car - B8.5 S4 MRC Stage 2 474ps 597nm

Time to change the title of this thread to, Pics of your Fast gas guzzler Merc/Audi Estate?
Suppose it’s the product of the shift from estates to SUVs, the ones that are available and fast are mainly German. Gas guzzling usually comes with fast too. AC43 said:
