Pics of your Fast Estate...
Discussion
I've lost count of how many fast estates I have owned - they were my staple daily driver, from the days I could only afford one car and it had to do everything well.
off the top of my head, wagons I've had - '98 Subaru Impreza Turbo / '01 e46 BMW 330i / '03 e39 540i / '06 Subaru Forester 2.5 XT / '08 RS6 V10 / '09 RS6 V10 / '10 RS6 V10 / '12 E63 AMG 6.3 / '13 C63 AMG 6.3 / '15 E63 AMG 5.5 / '18 VW Golf R
and a change in marital status now dictates the need for the ability to transport up to 5 children plus dog, so the dreaded SUV, but at least it's fast and kind of an estate ish - '17 GLS 63
I was prepared to quickly find an excuse to move it on, but 2 years later I have grown so fond of the big beast that I put up with the hate that it can attract, due to it's wasteful nature and XXL size. so much better than the equivalent RR and it's utterly dependable and tough. and whilst it's never going to handle like an E-klasse wagon, it's still got a stonking engine and can cover ground in a surprisingly capable nature.

Impreza WRX STI Wagon V2. I've just had it resprayed in the original colour with new badges and vinyls. Waiting for a genuine nose badge so stuck a cheap knock off one on for now. I've also got a new scoop to go on as well as mine has developed a slight bow on the bottom edge.
It's about 300bhp and weighs about 1250kg so with a short ratio gearbox box it's still quick by today's standards. I can only imagine how quick it felt in 1995 when hot hatches had 100bhp! It's not luxurious by any means but it is fun to drive at any speed; even pootling through town is an event. I've owned it over two years which is a record for me. I've just agreed to buy a Saab 93 Aero TTiD estate so I can look after the Impreza more now

Its very cool.
So do you order a "regular" AMG version , have it delivered to the dealer (Brooklands) and then it gets sent back to Brabus in Germany and re-built to their standard?
Yep, if you want a RHD with the full 800PS/ 1,000NM conversion then it has to be ordered from a UK dealer, come here and then get sent back to Bottrop. Worth the wait though So do you order a "regular" AMG version , have it delivered to the dealer (Brooklands) and then it gets sent back to Brabus in Germany and re-built to their standard?
If you want LHD, Brabus can source directly and cut out the middle man
