Not mine but mates E91 335i touring...

Was a really nice fairly unmodified example. Unfortunately, lost a fight with a tree.

Old pic from the dealer, turd tyres replaced.

Do I get a red card for this one? Do I need the other thread? biggrin

Going to hide for a few days until it blows over getmecoat
I was in what I considered a 'fast estate' train on the M6 Toll cruising at generous speeds for miles -- my E500, an S6 and a 530i.

Nothing to add other than I can see the spot that picture was taken from my office window.

Has anyone any experience with the latest RS6? Perhaps not the new model just released but say 2022ish model?

Looking to consolidate 911 Turbo S and Taycan Turbo S into one do it all type estate.

Really must try one.

That's nice.

The view, I mean, shame about that slow estate getting in the way. biggrin

Sorry, couldn't resist. FWIW I'm more than happy to have a 530i in here. Still faster than the significant majority of estates, and looks great too, nice grown-up and resolved design.

Isn’t the hatchback-type Panamera an option, too?

Smaller boot than a Golf R wagon, but V6 twin turbo and AMG performance exhaust.

Corrr that’s nice. I was looking at these but went all sensible and bought the golf R estate instead. Please tell me about how terrible it is ……

I was seriously considering a Golf R estate too - Mk 8.

But the Merc was cheaper if I went a year / 18 months older!

Sorry to say it isn’t terrible! Quite the opposite.
The exhaust is just amazing. Goose bumps territory!

Came to check it mholt1995 has updated us, disappointingly he’s let us down, again.

To my surprise I haven’t been scolded on my submission, seems only praise, winner winner!

My F31 335d. Hopefully qualifies for this thread.

The best all-round car I've owned. Perfect for the dogs and family camping trips.

Didn't know the boot was so big on these! Looks like perfect dog transport, mine struggles to jump up into the SUV height boot floor.

Very fast, very usable, more refined than the old one. Less reliable than the old one. Get a warranty as lots of known little gremlins on them. Alternators a big one on early cars.

In the real world almost as quick as the Turbo S and does it in all conditions with loads of room for the wife/kids/dog etc. Can play the silent 2.0TDI mile muncher as easily as it can race supercars.

Ive sold my RS4, and replaced with this wildcard entry. Im really not sure Im allowed to play here.

Its the S with 275hp, and British Racing Green paint which has to be worth a few extra points.

Shall I get my coat? getmecoat

I’d say a Golf R has more right than a 530i or a 335d.
It’s bought because it’s the fastest one, with no compromise on fuel economy. Both the BMW’s are ‘well let’s not go too far’ models.

It’s a real shame they didn’t use the 2.5 from the RS3 though…

Appeal upheld. The Golf R is (back) in.
