I too have Alpina envy, but thankfully there is a treatment.

First I had an initial dose (I test drove way back in October 2020), but that just made the symptoms worse.

I then opted for surgery (of the wallet - and placed an order). However, since then it has become chronic envy and is exacerbated by current owners posting here.

I referred myself back to Sytners, who gave me a second stronger dose (I was loaned a car over night (the very car featured in the PH Review) and in the same colour I ordered).

But alas, the only long term treatment is a car transplant.

Holy st, that's the ultimate spec too, green, silver wheels, no tints. Christ. What's the interior leather?

I'm not a diesel man myself, but if I was I'd love one of these. Bravo, sir! I still have another one 7-10 years to keep the E63, but maybe I'll get the desire to change to an F11 B5 sooner than that. Green, no tints, silver wheels, tan interior, front lip decals and lettering. What dreams are made of...

The demo was Ivory White Merino, but I specified Oyster (cream) Vernasca along with the Alpina Green and a few other options to bring it under £60K. I was going grey with tan, then late in the day opted for green and cream (my wife's preference). I've only owned few diesels, but to be honest the delivery is so smooth, I'm not giving up much.

Ooooh I get my new car tomorrow... Watch this space.
OK so it's not as fast as some of the stuff on here but it's fast enough to raise some eyebrows without any drama.

Great cars. If space is what you need, I think there's nothing better. Which version is it?
It's the 4x4 272bhp, hence the application to the thread, although it wouldn't keep up with most of the metal on this thread, I'm loving it so far, 2 trips to the tip today smile

Another red Skoda to join the ranks:

It's a manual 245 'Edition' which basically means it has the VAQ e-diff, black pack, alcantara seats, upgraded brakes and exhaust and a few other trick bits over standard 230/245 models. Leased it from new and bought it at three years old. Would have probably chosen a slightly less garish colour scheme if I new I was going to end up buying it but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

My recent lockdown splurge, G21 M340i replacing an E91 N54 335i.

And in full on touring mode:

Massive upgrade from the N54, ample power and with the mild hybrid it somehow gets better fuel economy than the Volvo XC60 T5 it replaced (38 mpg on a motorway run).

You can't leave us hanging like that. How much did the 335d win by?

Was this purchased recently from one of the online auction sites? It's a fine and rare beast.
No I've had it since 2017. I have seen the two that came up recently.

It would be great to have some more info on it; at least, what's it like?!

The little Atom had the legs … it won by 1.5 car lengths. Kept him honest. Stage 2 tune should put him in the mirror

My E91 330i (manual) taking on a Z4 M Coupe at Santa Pod a decade ago. It wasn't a complete thrashing by the M car.

I blame the heavy run-flats!

What do you wanna know? wobble

Standard XFR-S spec, so 542bhp & 502lb/ft. 5.0 V8 Supercharged. 11.6s@118mph 1/4 mile time at Santa Pod.

Jaguar made 61 of them in total, 34 in the UK and 20 of the total are Ultra Blue.

It's a great car, I absolutely love it. I had two diesel Sportbrakes before this one (a 2.2 and a 3.0) so this has been quite a step up. I wanted one from the moment Jaguar announced them but the £82k list price was a bit rich for me. It's a bit heavy, brakes are a bit rubbish (I've recently upgraded to EBC YellowStuff pads and EBC discs which are better). But it goes like stink, sounds great (especially with the full Spires exhaust system I have) and it's a blast to drive. Definitely the best car I've ever owned.

I couldn't ask for much more! Have you done any good road trips in it? European tours? How is it for comfort?

Good to see a G21 with the 19" Dynamic wheels. What flavour, B or D?
