Makes me feel sorry for the poor Ferrari 456 behind Harrods (Hans Sq !?).
Not Seen that in sometime, left shortly after it was featured in the papers (Unless its come back and I've not walked past it since then)

Gotta confess I was throwing out some faint hope of finding out that the BMW was unwanted and could be snapped up for a song!

My mate actually has a car in this condition, although it's a <4 year old Lexus, he lives in the centre of town and seldom uses the car. His parking bay is in a multi-story which means the car doesn't even get a splash of rain unless it happens when you're out.

It takes no time for cars to pick up this kind of dust in multi-story car parks, even with semi-regular use.

There’s a Ferrari 360 and Lambo Countach in a private underground multi-storey in Newcastle that had been there knocking on for 10years at least 5yrs ago - unloved and unused. Story goes that the owner has an apt above and lives in the Middle East.

There is also a new build house in north Tyneside that is about 2.5yrs old. When it was bought a MY2016 (I think) Maserati GranSport was parked in the driveway and it hasn’t moved since. Christmas lights went up for the first Christmas. Then the curtains closed and Christmas lights turned off but not taken down and it’s been untouched ever since. Very odd.

Is that BMW 1M and E46 CSL still sitting in that London carpark?

Neither had ever been MOT’d if I remember. The CSL has a clamp on it and flat tyres and both were filthy frown

Q-park Pimlico always used to have some interesting old stuff most of which never seemed to move, it’s been a few years since I’ve been there so not sure if it’s changed at all

Probably, in an attempt to stop people leaving notes asking to buy them for a fraction of their value.

Just before lockdown, my Mk1 escort restoration project was on the driveway for less than four hours after being dropped off by the transporter, while we rearranged space in the garage.

Two people knocked on the house door in that time offering to ‘take it off my hands’.

One of them insisted he had seen it rotting ‘for months’ which was impossible.
