1, Do not cost the earth to run.

2, Gaining in value, not losing value like all DB9's, 2nd gen Vanquish, V8/V12 Vantage (anything Gaydon built almost)

3, The gearbox is fine if you drive it right, but as mentioned, the magnetic upgrade from the S version is a must.

4, The front end subframe rot can be an issue but now much more cheaply fixed than a full replacement. Several specialists now fixing for couple of £k at most ( I won't mention Porsche IMS bearings)

5, The dash design is 20 years old, what you expecting? An LCD screen?

6, An automatic 6 speed conversion is also available if you worry about the gearbox that much. It's also cheaper than a manual gearbox.

7, AML reckon they have converted around 10% to manual.

8, It sounds better than anything else I have ever heard.

9, There is not much ford in that interior (Window switches). But their is Jaguar and Volvo. The A/C controls and vents on the centre panel. All the Dash is unique.

10, I'm biased towards them as I have this beauty in the garage (no they are not my gates)

I've got one and think it's lovely.

Gearbox is OK, but I have all the upgraded sensors etc and has been reliable, albeit not a daily driver.

Top 10 best looking car ever made, so a bargain imo

Absolutely love these but I don't think I'd have one over a 2nd gen car given the prices of them currently (absolute bargains!). This beaut isn't much more at 'just' £89k.

This and an F40 are still my favourite cars of all time.

The modern stuff is very nice I'm sure but this is a proper beast.

I'm very jealous of all the owners in this thread knowing I'll never get a ride or drive one let alone ever be able to own one....

On my lottery list, a Vanquish S with manual conversion.

Just such a pretty car, merges the original DB7 shape with the DB9 which followed, but has those pumped arches.

I'd probably go for one in Tungsten Silver so I could pretend to be James Bond, too laugh
