If it's meant to be an homage, right down to the colour, then why is the colour different?
I'm as much of a Bond fan as the next man but I wonder when AM will stop feeling the need to monetise this particular connection. Never understood why any grown person would consider it cool to drive around in a 'Bond car' that is anything but. Seems pretty juvenile and IMO 'de-premiums' the brand.

The perfect comparison for this DBS is 'Never Say Never Again'. Not because of the title, but it's basically a rather overweight, ageing Sean Connery pretending to be something from his yoof.

Congratulations to Aston for beating Mclaren at the worst wheel of the year game. Christ.

This or for another 30k the bond defender.

No brainer really in my eyes, it's not for everyone but I like the look of it.

But then I quite liked the film, it's right up there among the better bonds for me

I thought the DBS couldn't get any better, but that's just stunning!

I agree entirely it does devalue the brand, very tacky. Its a bit like a premium watch with 007 on the dial - really who has this sort of money & this lack of taste?

Perhaps its time to consider a new car anyway, perhaps another Lotus again ?

Bloody embarrassing if you ask me. Have Aston lost all shame.

Lose the horrible wheels, the 007 references and the gawping front end and it's OK. Personally I'd rather have the original.

Like a previous poster the ending of OHMSS really got to me when watching it as a kid. Not a fan of Lazenby but still one of the better Bond films. Now I'm an old man I see myself as more Teresa's dad than Bond but he's a pretty cool character all the same.

Maybe a Marc Draco (Tracy's dad) edition would be a better bet. It would appeal more to the old farts more likely to be able to afford yet another special edition Aston.

Stunning color, quite like the wheels and interior but would have to ditch the Bond references.

Or alternatively just buy the standard one in that color and save some cash!

For me OHMSS is the best Bond film, for most of the reasons people disliked it so much. A real shame that Lazenby declined to do more films, he would have matured nicely into being a classic Bond.

Worst Bond film ever ... why bother AML ? Oh yes - your shareholders that have been shafted since the IPO last October.

Harsh. And true.

Do like the DBS. Superleggera and special edition whatever.

Those wheels are awful. And the first time I've ever said this, they're too big.

Toss badges aside the rest of the car is lovely though.

Superleggera; ‘super light’.
Er, or not.
Or used as a type of construction technology.
Or not, in this case.
So, other than the colour, what really links this abomination with the DBS in OHMSS?
I can’t wait for the next model to have a tenuous link with Bond....

Agree. What is it with today's obsession with over-sized wheels? Those look like something from a tacky far-eastern souvenir shop.
