If spaces are available, can you just sign up to the 30min track day session on the day?
Yes if spaces are available on the day, you will be able to book although I'll be surprised if the taster sessions don't sell out beforehand at £40!If you're aiming to book on the day, you'll need to ensure you're signed up here so that you're sent a pass to get into the circuit, otherwise you might be refused entry.

Thanks Ben. I have signed up on the attendees list for myself and a friend in an RS3. Are the passes just sent to the email linked to the account?
Yes that's right, they'll be sent a couple of days before the event.imycool said:
how many cars will be on track at anyone time for the full day bookings ?
Up to a maximum of 35 cars at any time.BenLowden said:

What's the maximum number of cars that can book for the taster sessions?
It's the same as above – maximum of 35 per session Just want to get an idea of what the queue to get on track (if there is one) will be like. A slight queue isn't a problem on a full day, but might make a big difference in a single session.

If 35 cars are allowed on track at any one time during the taster session, will the total number of bookings for cars be over the 35?

Total bookings is 35 per session too so there shouldn't be any queueing at all Just want to get an idea of what the queue to get on track (if there is one) will be like. A slight queue isn't a problem on a full day, but might make a big difference in a single session.
Hi all, regular reader on the forum, Im attending this track day but just have a question regarding the "Vehicle entry ticket only day"
From the MSV Confirmation Email:
"This specific track day is a 'vehicle entry ticket only day'. All track day bookings (groups or tasters) will automatically receive free 'vehicle e-tickets' for all drivers and passengers pre booked plus one spare. You only need a ticket for the vehicle and not each person in it."
Does this mean that any spectators who are not going on track or attending the pistonheads meet up, need an entry ticket ?
I did speak to MSV but they said to ask on here for more info, can someone clarify? Dont want my Dad and invited friends to turn up and be refused entry !
Thanks All

Glad to hear you're joining us Tom! Anyone who's not going on track needs to be signed up to the Saturday Service here: https://www.pistonheads.com/calendar/event.asp?i=9...From the MSV Confirmation Email:

Yes although you only need to sign up for each car that comes in, not for each person. So one pass per car basically
HiThat's not what the circuit website says... 'Circuit Admission is Free'
Which is the norm for Trackdays at Oulton, you'll get lots of people coming along for a day out simply because Oulton is such a nice play to go (as there's virtually unlimited parking it's not exactly going to be a problem..)
However
I'd suggest that the organiser confirms that's the case with the Circuit, otherwise it'll cause 'fun' on the gate when people follow the website and somebody tries to turn them away (seen that before = upset parents and kids..) - won't do anybody any good, certainly this community doesn't want to be seen to turn people away from sitting in the sunshine, watching the trackday does it?

Access for those not taking part on track is free, but you do need to sign up to the event as it's ticketed. This is clearly stated on the booking page: https://www.msvtrackdays.com/car/calendar/2019/sep...It takes less than a minute to sign up to PH and put your name down for the event so that you're sent the pass, so don't really see any issue! This is no different to any other event we run.

Hi Jim, thats exactly what I was trying to work out, the way I first read it gave me the impression that this free ticket thing was for those who wanted to attend the pistonheads meeting, not to gain entry to the circuit for those who just want to come along and watch the track day..That's not what the circuit website says... Apologies if I wasn't clear enough, but access to the circuit will only be allowed with one of our passes on Saturday (unless you're going on track). Sorry for any confusion.ianMD said:
Reckon this Sunday Service needs a bit of a bump/prompt, not many signed up to attend!
Probably and it's a shame although not many PHers track their car tbh (never understood why) and if they do then session format will put them off. The taster thing is a great idea though but perhaps a long way to go for many for limited track time. nickfrog said:

I think those in the Track Day forum would disagree with you Our Silverstone track events were always oversubscribed and most taster sessions sold out, plus people always complain that we don't do enough events up north, so a bit surprised that the sign up for this has been quite low.The actual track day itself is selling well though; both taster sessions, novice and intermediate groups almost all sold out! The drive up Friday night is going to be a slog but I can't wait
