Took me a minute! To add, they used Pinninfarina - literally the worst stylists you could find.Those 3 cars mentioned ( as much as I hate admitting it as I'm far more a VW hot hatch fan than a Frog admirer) are from an era when Peugeot made cracking drivers cars and even the non GTI models won multiple awards at the time.
The stand out Pininfarina designed Pugs like the 504 coupe & the 406 coupe are generally considered superb looking cars as are many other Pinninfarina designs for far more exotic manufactures. Even if the Pug coupes didn't quite deliver the driving experience to match the looks I can see why they can appeal to people, a V6 for Shed money can't be all that bad can it??
The 205 Cabriolet for shed money isn't my idea of a summer fun but I can see it selling. For cheap(er) non GTI 205 thrills i'd try my luck hunting down the 1.4 XS model hardtop.
