The F40, doesn’t fall into that category, neither does the 288 since you mention it, and neither does the McLaren F1. If for no other reason than the fact that they're highly appreciating cars in their own right.
Their strong residuals pre-date any idea of large capacity n/a engined cars being an endangered species.
