Is there a technical definition of what it needs to qualify as a tractor for this record?

IMHO it should have a trailer on the back carrying a tonne of potatoes, and a Collie perched on the side steps.

Every day man of the people my arse. Wonder if they had to use the power of the "tractor" to pull his head out of his own arse, so he could see where he was going.

Well if nothing else this article is proof that no matter what's posted on here some joyless cretin will moan about it.

All very good and I do hope that the shenanigans continue.

Having said that, I do prefer the motorised sofa (with coffee table!) built by that bloke in the UK. It's got a bit more of the absurd, which suits me.
That’ll be Edd China, of Wheeler Dealers fame.

Thanks for that! The floor lamp (mounted behind the sofa) is a nice touch. smile

Did he have a licence??
I’d imagine.
Well given that his day job is fixing HGVs, I'd be surprised if he didn't! laugh

But seeing as it was done on a track, how does that matter anyway?
It doesn't. You get your tractor endorsement when you pass your car test. Cat K from memory.

Cat F - not K (Cat K is for mowing machines and pedestrian controlled vehicles: https://www.gov.uk/learning-to-drive-a-tractor-or-... )

Your car licence may allow you to drive a tractor, but, if you take a look at how many controls and systems there are on most modern tractors, chances are you'll be lucky to start the bugger up, let alone drive it!

Trial was meant to start in July but it's been postponed again to January.

I've met him when I was on a trackday, no cameras about. He is genuinely a really nice normal bloke who likes to chat with anyone. He wasn't a special guest, he hadn't rung ahead, just showed up and paid like the rest of us so the organisers were genuinely surprised.

I found myself thinking that too.

Yes, this is a bit pointless in reality, but who cares? It's gloriously ridiculousness should be cause for celebration.

Should've got him a TopGear job really, more on brand than a cricketer and a dating show presenter...

But it’s a bit pointless, surely? A bit like taking a GSX-R (which is sports bike) off-roading in the mud...
