As some other reasoned, the problem with the Civic are the looks...

In my books, a hot hatch still should be able to handle daily duties, and if i can't really use it to meet a client (working in a very conservative field) or even the in-laws without looking liek a tool, it's of no use to me. Can make a Golf R look unpretentious, no one will even notice the Hyundai, same goes for some other hatches (M135i), but the Civic? Even if you take off that wing, it's gonna look boy-racerish.

Guess that's why the Golfs (GTI + R) usually will have more sales than everybody else.

,

In my books a hot hatch should rightly look as sporty as possible not conservative so can pop to church unknown....

Yes there is a limit and honda have overstepped it if again you are more focused on the design than the chasis capabilities.
But all design features have reason from what I understand...

Yes the one that's been blasting about the ring has been seen at a uk petrol station. Massive camo over front 'vents', no drilled or slotted discs weirdly but supsected carbon fibre roof wings and scoop. I'd hang on mate I really would
Have you got a link?

Not sure what you’re driving now but I’ve thought that a few times, sell up, clear finance, but a 3k EP3 and pocket the rest but I think it’s me looking back at my ownership of the EP3 with rose tinted glasses, it was extremely uncomfortable, very thirsty and needed to be thrashed to make any progress. These things are a small price to pay when driving such a car but I won’t be able to go back to it after nearly 3 years in a 4 series. The FK8 is the ultimate comprise between the 2, can be comfortable and frugal with enough torque to make progress without thrashing it and can remind you of the EP3 when bouncing on the limiter before shifting into second and feel the car eat the road up biggrin
Currently:

Paid for in cash, does 30mpg so thirsty anyway, requires Vpower / Tesco 99.
