I sort of like the fact the X6 exists, and I am sure plenty of perfectly nice people own them, however my abiding memory is a local bloke getting one and saw him at the butty shop, parked it on double yellows blocking most of the pavement. This guy was wearing a suit but his two mates were in builders gear, there is a builders merchants next door, a traffic warden comes in and asks if someone has a BMW parked outside and could they move it, or its getting ticketed which I thought was jolly decent of him.

Anyway, matey and his two henchman basically tell the warden to F off and chase him away, bullying him basically, he was a slight chap and these three big blokes were giving him some stick and threatening him, odious people and I will forever associate that model with people like that.

What a pretty and environmentally responsible vehicle, I look forward to seeing this doing what it's designed for, whatever that is, smooth off roading between house and school?

Will that do?
Please can you give the environmental harping a short break? Even just for 1 day?

Another BMW launching without the great 40d engine - seems weird??

No 40d in the 5er and no 40d in the new 3er either.

I'm quite glad that it's that ugly, it goes back to the beginning of the X6's heritage. Recently they have not been as bad.
The X6 can now reclaim the crown from the 2 series as Ugliest BMW In The World.

Has it been really badly photographed or does every part of the interior match up and point in completely different directions? Reminds me of old Italian cars where your arms would point left for the wheel and your feet right for the pedals.

Well, I think the FK8 Civic Type R has finally met its match as the most revolting vehicle on sale today.

How do BMW still have any brand value at all? Their timeless, elegant, well-engineered cars of the 80's and 90's are but a distant memory, replaced with brashness and vulgarity. With that in mind, can't wait to see 1,000's of these all across SE London very soon!

Yet, they seem far less highly strung than the green eyed posters on this thread. Most brands attract a similar proportion of knob ends, but probably not as many as SUV threads on PH laugh
Couldn't agree more. There's a bunch of these around here (admittedly a large Chinese neighborhood close to Toronto) but not sure why that's an issue for folk. I like them, especially the x6m variant. I would imagine this engine is also pretty good. Fair play to the people that spend their money on what they like regardless of what poor people think.

I think the Civic type R is tolerable.

Ugliest car on sale is still the Range Rover Velar. This Xpuke comes close.

I always enjoy the whinge-a-thon that accompanies the convertible cousin of this format:

That really is a horrible looking thing.
I’m sure they’ll sell loads of them though because you can see 6 inches further up the back of the car you’re tailgating when driving one rolleyes

I hope they sell lots and lots. Another used option to consider in a couple of years but also always great to see folk getting so wound up at an inanimate object that they have a coronary...leading to less whingers on the road...means I get to work more easily and on time.

Yes. Because those countries will be BMW's two biggest markets.
