I have an A35 (wife`s car) with aero which looks great in grey. But also have a F80 m3 comp pack. All I can say is almost the same power as my M3 in that A-class chassis will be fantastic. Can`t wait to test drive
Not only that, the chassis should something else altogether... the last proper transverse 4wd car was the Evo. The latest Focus RS was good but not great, this, with a good whack of more (real) power, could be something..Trophy Husband said:
Hang on! A 4 seater that likely may leave a 911 Carrera S for dust down the lanes? What more do you expect?
I'd have the AMG A45S in a heartbeat. Ace motor!
Leave a 911 for dust? What a ridiculous statement. Fast and capable no doubt...basically a golf R with a mercedes badge..HP Bragging rights over driver involvment, i'll pass.I'd have the AMG A45S in a heartbeat. Ace motor!

I think they look bang on, the CLA looks much better than it did.
It really does. The first CLA was as appealing visually as a dog egg. Attempting to be a mini-CLS and capturing none of the big cars styling properly. It seems with this new version they have managed to get the looks nicely proportioned and it now does look like a mini-coupe-four-door-thing in a good way. I'm not a fan of the matt finish on these though, I think in a nice metallic and perhaps with silver wheels they'd look that bit less 'boy race'. I'm showing all 37 of my years with that comment but I think they'd be more classy in a less modified finish.
They are expensive though and for that reason I wouldn't (and couldn't) justify the cost. That said they're very fast cars, sub-4 seconds to 60 in the S model. That is faster than cars that were more expensive years ago.
Take my CLS63, 0-60 is about 4.4/.5 seconds and it was an £75-80k car in 2007 so that puts some perspective on it I suppose.

Are you doubting that this car would at least as quick as a C2s across the ground ?
I’m not.
I suspect this could make for a very fun daily and a great tour car for the likes of NC500. Will definitely be trying one as a replacement for current E63.

The car in S form will be beating the McLaren Senna for BHP/litre which is some doing.
Hats off to MB.
I started reading this article and began to think...ooh this looks worth considering....then as I read more and more about it, I realised that as an actual ownership proposition, this is a car no one will want to maintain; at least not outside of warranty. This is one hideously complicated car so will be good only for people prepared to fritter away their pennies on its first three-year-lease and then dispose of.
