Late 30's - 205 GTI & a Mk1 Focus RS.

Like any good classic, the 205 GTI doesn't always drive when i want it to though. It's more a case of it decides on my behalf whether or not it wants to go anywhere hehe

The FRS hasn't driven anywhere under its own power for the best part of the last 9 odd years so i'm not sure that counts really getmecoat

Civic Type R FK2, 35 years stupid.

Just one ownership observation of the FK2 Type R, and probably will apply to the FK8 - it is an absolute haven for spiders. All the wings, vents, angles and sticky out bits are a mecca for spider's webs to hang between and to hide in.

The brochure and youtube reviews don't mention that!

M140i and a E82 125i tuned to around 290bhp.

38 years old

Prior to that had an M3, Focus ST and an RS4. Hell the Panda 100HP was a luke warm hatch also depending on how far I could push the pedal down!

Yes, I completely agree. It’s also a right pain to wash, I washed it once and it took so long, I nearly gave up.

I just take it to a car wash now, even then it takes long. It gets dirty very quickly as well, my car before would gleam for a good week before looking dusty, the Civic looks dirty within 3 days!

Almost 50 now (where did all that time go wink?), drive a grey Golf (Mk7.5 GTI). Not sure where the OP's question goes. Is there still some social stigma attached to hot hatch ownership?

I bought a 1982 Capri 2.8i in 1984 when I was 25 - was that a hot-hatch?

Well it was certainly quicker than an XR3i/Golf GTi, which is why I got it!

Moving on in 2014 I bought a BMW Z4 Coupe which may qualify as a hatch, but later that year I got an E46 325ti Sport Compact as a daily which definitely would fit the bill. (Even if I was 55 when I bought it). laugh

34 and an Audi S3. I do think the same thing when when I drive it though, am I told old for it?
If you’re that bothered about what others think, sell it now and buy something you feel less self-conscious in?
Christ worrying about being too old at 34 for one of the most mundane looking performance cars you can get!

Fiesta ST, 30 years old.

It's got an ITG induction kit and a Milltek exhaust on it running about 250bhp. Might sound a bit barry but I couldn't give a single fk!

An old boy I knew from the car club, sadly died last year was the owner of this.:

It always made me smile thinking of James in his wee yellow Twingo. He loved that car but as an 80 odd year old was it appropriate? Who cares.
