Can we get those Extinction Rebellion tts some plane tickets to somewhere that needs it?
Steady on! Some of them only travel first class by air.

It's probably all people who are used to Audi interiors.
No question in my mind that it's a truly great car. I did a few laps of Spa in the older 350 brake Evora and thought that was brilliant enough.

It was Alasdair Stewart - he's still there going by his LinkedIn profile.
No he isn’t. Phil Popham brought in Simon Clare (sp?) from Princess as Marketing Director. Sales Director is new too from Bentley and a dozen or more other directors and senior managers.

It's getting to the point when performance figures don't mean a thing. £2m for something that accelerates no faster than a Tesla Ludicrous Performance and maybe goes 37mph faster, which of course no one will doing. I guess it's all about rarity now, but even if I had the money I'd feel a proper chump having spent £2m and still failing to shake off Mr & Mrs Jones with their kids in their Model S!

Are you sure? I got hit title wrong - it’s something like Head of Global Marketing rather than Marketing Director.

Theres a lot more to performance than just straight line acceleration.

What’s the range when you deploy your 2000hp. Is it miles/kilometres or yards/meters?

Sorry, got my cynical trousers on today.
Just under 3 minutes of full “throttle” and it’s empty

Alastair is still there, I had a chat with him at Goodwood.

I think Mr Jones would be lost after the first bend. Mrs Jones should of questioned why her husband had took the family on a track day too.

Can probably get it remapped to get it down to 200bhp.

Go ahead take the p!ss but I stand by what I said. Lotus has walked the line so often, desperately needs a replacement for all the Elise based cars but it shows us this.

As for being a wuss, I'm quite happy on my street bike thanks when I want kicks.

I want to be able to use a car, not simply hang on.

If the contents of your undies tell you you need 2000bhp to feel good then crack on.

Will they actually build this one?

Releasing computer generated images is for university students on design courses.

Build something and show it Lotus, or stop wasting our time.

Calm down dear!
Sorry to P155 on your chips but this car is really happening.
Geeley have a lot riding on this to relaunch the Lotus brand in other markets.

It certainly is. I guess that's why there's several videos of journalists walking around and getting into what is at least a mockup, not a cheap exercise in itself.

It's not unreasonable to suggest that a 2000bhp/1650kg car will accelerate just a tiny bit quicker than a 760bhp/2200kg Tesla.

Edited to add:

Tesla P100D 0-250kph, 24.7 seconds

My bad, I keep forgetting how incompetent Pistonheads are wink

They just had one job to do, send a bloke with a camera to the launch which was a short distance away, no wonder Schmee and so on are leaving traditional car media behind.

Have posted on the Flemke & 2manycarz thread, to see what these potential buyers think of it

I can't help but think this new tech ought to make a significant leap; we already have seriously quick cars (no matter whether EV or ICE).

This is great and all... but considering how congested our roads are today (around 9 mph average speed in the nation's capital), where are the flying cars they promised us?

In London supercars and hypercars tend to be driven badly by idiots with more wealth than morals.

Would you seriously want to give these sort the ability to fly? Unless it was taken totally out of their control I wouldn't trust most of them.
