Popped up on eBay classic car section so thought it would be suitable for here.

At last with that plate you know what it's meant to read even on correct spacing.

Interesting sales pitch though - buy it for £27k or give the seller your classic Porsche in exchange for the vastly overpriced plate laugh That might take a while hehe
Interestingly it sold for £500 + the bits in February 2005...

Well coaster was as close as I got, but I couldn't think how that linked to a car.

It beats me that people have Grand Voyager, in script, on the back of the car yet have to make themselves look stupid and illiterate by doing this.

Yep, but if it makes them happy then so what.

Several reasons.
Firstly, it is illegally spaced (and still doesn't make a word.)
Secondly, it may be possible this was the original 2004 plate but the coincidence seems unlikely.
If not, this person sat down, thought about it and paid £250 for it, to mis-space it and be adjudged an idiot.

Hardly the end of the world though is it. Certainly not worth getting upset over it.

I have a couple of old 911’s knocking about the yard of my furniture shop. I would probably offer £25 for the Coaster plate with £285,000 cash my way. Covid price, no physical contact, nationwide delivery possible.

I currently have SOFA on the Range but got nicked the other day. This would be a top replacement.

Stay safe.

I was looking at the dvla cherished plates site today and if they actually followed through on the statement on it that says.....

It is an offence to alter, re-arrange or misrepresent a registration number.

There is a maximum fine of 1000, and the registration number can be withdrawn without compensation.

Then you wouldnt see this st on a daily basis. (Well not at the moment given the lockdown)

And as we can clearly see Chavs have been entitling themselves to special exemption from it ever since.

I'd suggest a more robust approach is called for. smile
