What C124PPY personalised plates have you seen? Vol.3
Discussion
It’s a plate that has featured here before, but as i was sitting watching the world go by in the Essex/E.London badlands yesterday i saw MRS S VAL and her ubiquitous LR Discovery driving past.
A car that is well known to me, but what struck me yesterday was that the car actually has the st chav plates stuck over the top of the original plates (the chav plate is slightly smaller than the normal one), i assume so that they can remove them readily and display MR55 VAL properly. Thinking deeper, i wondered if this was because of a recent or upcoming MoT but alas not as the car is too new.
Not something i’ve seen before.

Indeed.
The article reflects the number of FPNs issued though and not the actual number of offences committed, and very probably Essex's criminal underworld is keeping the county's BiB fully occupied with rather more pressing matters than that of illegal number plates.
Still, the article suggested there's points on the way for illegal plates as well as a fine - which is excellent news.
Subcontract detection out to a private company and watch the fines roll in and points stack up.
Sounds legit Steve, but just for ease of review it would seem a shame not to capture the stats on the thread The article reflects the number of FPNs issued though and not the actual number of offences committed, and very probably Essex's criminal underworld is keeping the county's BiB fully occupied with rather more pressing matters than that of illegal number plates.

Well there ya go. Google tells us there's 46 police forces in the UK but for this only 36 provided their stats.
Essex BiB were doubtless too stretched trying to keep up with the county's Crims to even answer the phone let alone actually having a spare body who could be best employed getting the facts together.
MU57Y XX - Audi RS5 with fridge magnet letter number plates, who drove at 22 mph for no reason and braked at the slightest speed bump The DVLA says it's on a Mercedes C class, it's not.
CS11 ARP - Audi Q5, MOT expired last November. Although it was spaced correctly, they'd put a convenient black dot in the middle of the 11.
M13RK G - Ford Kuga.
FF5 1 FAT - Range Rover.
