Oh for sure it's a thing.

Given that using numbers in an attempt at spelling words is both pretentious and illiterate it's not that much of a challenge to work out exactly who it's going to be a thing with either. smile
Always trying to score points with your perceived superiority...you can't win the internet Steve, but you can certainly look like a bit of a prig jester
Not trying win at anything Chap.biggrin

It's just a simple fact you can't spell words with numbers and just a moments reflection will reveal it's precisely the type of people attempting to do so with their numberplates who're the ones attempting to score points and craving some superiority in their lives.

Very possibly.

There's only one reason why anybody would come over all fighty and defensive over Chavplates that I can think of.

Certainly seems you are perpetually trying to win the most disdain displayed award, with registration plates and (the badlands of) Essex being your specialist subjects biggrin

Language evolves all the time fella, just because you don't like it or are too obtuse to admit that you can read alpha-numeric words then perhaps it's you seeking to reinforce your superiority, it's certainly why these threads exist spin

Not if displayed legally. L9 WGN is fine. Bodged as LOW GN by using screw caps and other foolery in the 9 would be well chavvy.

Simples, isn't it?
