tezzaworld is an absolute gem of a knowledge base for Toyota Altezzas. It is basically dead now, everyone has moved to Facebook pages but it is still very useful.

I like slkworld, have learned a huge amount on there so far.
Me too, but I do find some of the stuff on there to be well night useless sometimes. Some of the US contingent make me laugh - they are massively anal about stuff and get upset about any none-OE part that might be fitted. I find the main moderator (you know who I mean) has never actually let his old occupation go.

Omega owners forum. The dogs bollacks. So much information and help. Although occasionally you get the response "See the maintenance guides" with out a link to the actual guide.
I remember how and when that forum started. Fortunately I think the original person has long since departed wink

But yes, I run a Vauxhall forum but I barely have anything to do with Vauxhalls at all now. Its definitely changed over the years, much smaller now than it used to be, though the Vauxhall car following as a whole is still pretty healthy from what I see

Its not bad, I've only had an Altezza for a few months and met with some owners at a Jap car show and could tell them more about their cars, where to get parts and how easy various jobs are.

The mk2 golf forum/club is still a favourite of mine even when I've not had a mk2 on the road for a few years

mbclub.co.uk is very good.

I've had loads of help on my various Merc's over the last 16 years.

Very knowledgeable/helpful people.

I've met a couple and spoken at length to a third when buying and selling cars & wheels through the forum.

Always recommend it when someone asks for detail on any particular Merc from the last 20 or 30 years.

Not a bad forum at all. What have you bought / thinking of buying out of interest?

I am on vx220.org, my second stint. On my first when I was looking to buy I made the rookie mistake of saying something along the lines of 'wow didn't realise these were so expensive' and some muppet replied telling me to fk off and buy a cheap piece of st somewhere else which was lovely. Met the guy later at a meet once I had bought my VX220, he was a short bespeckled lad who wouldn't say boo to a goose in reality - fortunately I am not a nutter who bears a grudge and batters people that are uncivil on the internet! Anyway, on there for my second go and gone to a few more meets and getting loads of good advice although it is a bit slow due to lack of members.

Joined 350z-uk back in 2010 and still on it even though I sold up years ago - really good for meets (they are present at most shows all year round) and have a stack of traders on there offering advice and products occasionally on group buys etc.

Was on Nissan Skyline forums also, again a bit slow, but some useful stuff on them and bought my R33 from a forum advert.

I remember when we had a "character" on the Jensen Owners forum called "Ocker" supposedly an Australian in the mould of Sir Les Patterson.
Long running flame wars that were hilarious.

And Subaru Forester forum (US based) is packed with informative discussions.
Bloody SubaruForester.org!

Years ago my Forester had a squeaking belt and intermittent power steering. Google it and find a thread with someone complaining of the same issue, first response goes "Dead easy, this long bolt here pulls the alternator up, tensions up the belt, sorted."

I go out, take out my comically oversized socket set, twist, twist, BANG. Bolt sheers.

Go back onto the the site and scroll down, OP replied to them going "I snapped the bolt". Reply "Did you undo the lock bolt?".

No you tt bags, because you didn't mention the sodding lock bolt did you?

UKSaabs is excellent, really helpful with TONS of knowledge on there all good bar a couple bell ends who tired causing problems but they went away after a while.

SaabCentral also good but more US based.

FCCUK was a great forum to join when I was searching for a Fiat Coupe 20vt, had loads of help and advice on what to look for. Didn’t happen in the end and bought another Saab!

VXROnline has been good even though I had a Saab they were keen to hear about it and share info on how to get the best out of the V6.

Copen world was another helpful place (missis Daihatsu Copen)

MB Wowrld I haven’t used in years but was great for info on modding my old E55 AMG and fixing any problems (lots of expensive problems with the old merc!!)

Another vote for uklegacy.com

Also scoobynet is a great forum. Really useful and helpful bunch and a lower percent of morons than most forums.

Nissan Elgrand oc forum is really good. Friendly and very helpful.

The forum functionality is also light-years ahead of this place.
